Sushi Beluga (Long Beach)

This place is DELICOUS and so reasonably priced. Some of the best sushi I've ever eaten, and I've eaten a lot of sushi. Get the popcorn shrimp roll=amazing!

I've been saying that there is no great quality sushi in DT Long Beach for years now and I can finally no longer claim it. Sushi Beluga's produce quality and sushi cuts are what one would expect when eating in Japan. They have an extensive menu selection -- I've tried variety of their appetizers, rolls, hand rolls, sashimi, specials, all great!. Many items come the traditional miso soup and ginger dressing salad. I'm partial to their nigiri, and my favorite is the Omakase option, entrusting the Chef to create the selection. The staff is exceptional, always very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The place is cozy, with corner-shaped sushi bar and tables both inside and outside. It's just far enough from Ocean Blvd that you don't get all the street noise when seated outside and the patio is dog friendly. This is the most underrated restaurant in DTLBC, highly recommended from this sushi snob 😂💕

This restaurant is small, and the service was very good. I had the ocean trout nigiri, baked crab handroll, Philly roll, and the aburi salmon nigiri. The salmon nigiri was good, but the ocean trout just ok, I've had better. The Philly roll was very good and the baked crab hand roll was phenomenal.

As a sushi connoisseur I can say they have a great selection of excellent sushi. From Live Scallops, to amazing handrolls to uni and so much more, this a Must!! so any sushi fan.

I had a chirashi for lunch. It was not bad, but not particularly great either. The sashimi slices were a bit fishy and the rice was cooked kinda hard and not soft. For the quality of the food, I felt the price was a bit high. The server was very polite and nice though.

Delicious food. I just tried this place for the first time and it was excellent. I got to go order. They have salmon egg which is a favorite of mine. Also they have a three item special which is a great deal.

The sushi chef is the owner of the restaurant and he is not friendly. The service was subpar. Sushi quality was bad and super expensive, very disappointed. Never go back again.
