We dine in as a family at Sushi Kara almost every week (not just for special occasions), and it’s consistently one of our favorite dinner spots. The fish is truly high quality and tastes incredibly fresh every time. The sushi chefs are very nice, and the portions and presentation are always beautiful everything comes out looking as appetizing as it tastes.
Some must-tries for us: the Scottish Salmon Roll, the O.C. Roll, and their miso soup (my son’s favorite). My daughter doesn’t eat sushi and still loves it here, she usually gets the chicken noodles, and there are plenty of great non-sushi options on the menu, which makes this place perfect for families with different tastes.
Service is another reason we keep coming back. The staff is fast, kind, and genuinely welcoming. They’ve gone above and beyond for us more than once, including surprising us with a small treat like an appetizer or dessert as a thank-you, such a thoughtful touch that makes you feel appreciated.
The atmosphere is relaxed, upbeat, cozy, and family-friendly with great vibes all around. Parking is easy, and we usually get seated right away or within about 10 minutes even when they’re busy. Highly recommend Sushi Kara if you want fresh sushi, great people, and a place you’ll want to return to again and again.

Food is variable. But Isaac is always amazing!! He is so welcoming each time we come in. Always remembers the minor details of my order. He is literally the best part of our experience at sushi Kama.

I was in town for work and stopped in for dinner one night. I had the volcano roll and an order of chicken katsu curry. Both were excellent along with the quick and attentive service. Sushi Kara is a 10/10 for me!

States they are open till 9:00 but recently arrived at 8:20 and they said they were already closing. I said ok then I will just take an order to go and they said sorry the kitchen is already closed and clean. If you want to close at 8:00 put that in your hours, not customer focused at all. This use to be my go to place with the original owners but the current owner is not customer focused.

The food here is fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. I especially love the 911 roll and the spicy edamame. But what really puts this place over the top is the service. The staff strike the perfect balance: efficient, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing or disappearing when you need them. I wish I had photos of the food but I forget to take it once I see the food I can’t wait to eat it lol. Overall this is a great spot all around. Highly recommend!
We always have family lunches there due to the convenient location. The food and service is good and they never make us feel rushed since our lunches are sometimes long. We also feel that they offer good value for the money.
