One of my favorite sushi restaurants in LBC. A novel spin on traditional sushi, the Peruvian flavors add another dimension without overdoing it. Recommend you try the dusty roll! Amazing service too.

Sushi Nikkei is not your typical sandwich sushi bar which we love. No CA rolls, no imitation krab just the best flavors of sushi around. We haven't tried one thing we didn't like.

It's giving Michelin star... I come here about once a week and the fish never fails! Always fresh and the customer service is amazing. Wendy is my absolute favorite. Only bummer is that they don't open until 5 PM even on the weekends. Reservations recommended!

Words cannot describe how amazed I was at the sushi quality and flavor profile. Sushi Nikkei does a wonderful job blending traditional Japanese flavors with Peruvian flavors. If I could marry a roll, I'd marry the Asian Shiromi in a heart beat. We ordered additional rolls after the tasting because we could not get enough of it. They have a great sake selection as well. Amazing service. The servers were great and easy to chat with to get opinions and they clearly enjoy the food as well. We came as a trio and we were able to order 1 1/2 servings to each get a piece. It is a quaint restaurant with few seating options. However, I liked that they don't try to cram more tables in allowing for guests to enjoy the food and not be crowded in. Parking is available all along 2nd street and the adjacent neighborhoods.

Dined in here on a Friday night with a reservation and was seated right away. All of the food we tried tasted amazing but what stood out was the yellowtail sashimi. It was absolutely delicious, fresh, and so flavorful. The shrimp tacos were really good and I loved how crispy they were. Their spicy edamame was probably one of the best I’ve had. The sake we had was very smooth. Our server was attentive. The prices are reasonable. I would definitely return.

This place is delicious!! we started with the scallops which were cooked perfectly and the quinoa pop on top was also a nice addition to add texture. Loved it so much we got a second order of them! We then tried the sushi Nikkei tasting and Tuna tasting. Highly recommend the sushi Nikkei tasting in order to try their most popular nigiri and then order your favorites after! The Asian Shiromi nigiri was my favorite, but they were all so good! Lastly we tried the Acebichado roll which was also very tasty but I'd ask to go light on the sauce next time. Overall, a great experience and will definitely be going back for that Shiromi!

Good food and service! Took my team for dinner. They have 2 locations and owners are there helping.
Rating: 8/10 Hubby and I first time eating here, the food was phenomenal but the service was terrible. Our reservation was at 5:30pm, ended up leaving around 7pm, during those 1.5 hours the waiter came to check on us TWICE. The whole time we had to chase him down to order more sushi...it was a busy Sunday night and they might've been short staffed so can't be too mad but will give their other location a try since the food was fantastic!

What a GREAT experience. This restaurant is intimate with an understated, by pleasant dining area. You will find 14 tables, with only four tables that can accommodate 4 people. There is additional seating outside, but on this chilly night everyone was inside. My wife and I really enjoyed our time here, the atmosphere is chill and not too loud. Our primary server was Anthony who did a nice job, but the 'above and beyond' aspect came from Luis, who was running food on the evening. He knew all the items inside and out, I felt his sushi passion, he did a fantastic job explaining the unique Peruvian spicing and exactly what everything was. I also liked that the menu was not overwhelming, they had the perfect number of choices. I digested the Yelp reviews and looked at pictures before I arrived, that said, my wife and I nailed the order, EVERYTHIG hit the spot. * Spicy Edamame, not that spicy, uniquely delicious with how they spice it, not oily (A grade) * Tuna taco (2 pc), exactly what I expected, solid choice (B+ grade) * Sushi Nikkei Tasting (8 pc), for me the highlight, the 4 fish varieties will vary depending on the evening, they were all prepared with sweet, power, parmesan and Asian (A+ grade) * Bixby rolls (8 pc), crispy shrimp, avocado topped with cream cheese, parrillera sauce, tare (A+ grade) * Chill Maki (5PC), crispy tempura roll with avocado, shrimp, chill sauce, & lemon (A grade) I love sushi, and Sushi Nikkei delivered a winner with their unique Peruvian spicing, I can't wait to get back.

The food was delicious. They put a very interesting spin on traditional sushi, with their Peruvian heritage. The flavors were unique and unexpected. The service was great, and the staff definitely understood the menu items when we asked lots of questions. It was a recommendation from a friend, we will definitely be back.
The service was excellent. The food was delicious. Definitely will go back for the Peruvian ceviche, Parmesan scallops, and the soft shell tempura. Can't wait to go back and also try new foods.
