Let me first say the cinnamon rolls are the best and a special treat. I stopped by today specifically for a piece of cake for my birthday. We chose the yellow cake with chocolate icing. The cake in the case had yellow sprinkles on top. When we got home, our pieces had orange sprinkles on top. Appears we were given two old slices which had been boxed and set aside. The cake was course like cornbread and dry, yet soaked with an ultra sweet syrup that had puddled in the bottom of the containers. The frosting also ultra sweet was thin and tasteless except for what I assume was corn syrup. Better frosting out of a can at the grocery store. Bad cake is one thing, but a bait and switch is something else. This was an old cake sold to be the fresh cake from the case. Have a cinnamon roll - 6 stars.
I went in the following morning with our uneaten cakes and they weee good enough to exchange them for another slice. I got German Chocolate. Soooo much better. Cinnamon rolls still your best bet. I think the baker was offended, but I know old cake at sight. I baked cakes professionally for several years. The baker said they didn’t use simple syrup to moisten their cakes. That means the liquid in the container was weeping from frosting placed on a cake that has not completely cooled or the grease in the icing was breaking down from being in the heat of the bakery, setting for several days, or both.

My to go for coffee cake and snickerdoodle cookie. This place has been in SB community for ages and been here for decades. It’s small shop with plenty of sweet goods and coffees. There is not much of seating inside but there are benches outside. The smell of baked goods upon walking in just want to get all of the goodies. Service is very friendly and helpful. Not much of decor since all here fill with baked goods. Definitely come back for more soon.

I used to come to Sweet Jill’s Bakery years ago when I lived in California, and stopping by again was such a treat — it’s just as amazing as I remember. I picked up the chocolate chip cookies, a red velvet cupcake, and the tres leches cake, and everything was absolutely delicious. The bakery has that incredible smell that hits you before you even walk through the door, instantly making you crave something sweet. One tip: it’s cash-only, so plan ahead. Sweet Jill’s is definitely worth the visit if you’re in the area!

Everything I purchased was ridiculously overly sweet and did not taste fresh. I actually threw most of it away. The customer service was terrible, no one looked at all like they wanted to help me. Everyone looked miserable and unhappy to be there. Perhaps the pay or working conditions are poor. I only went there because Colossus was closed; I wont be returning.

When paying, I was given €20 less change than I should have received. Instead of admitting the mistake, the staff were dismissive, rude, and unfriendly. They seemed completely overwhelmed with basic calculations and unable to handle simple numbers. This behavior is absolutely unprofessional and gives the impression that the business is not being run honestly. Totally unacceptable!

Amazing bakery!!! I tried Cinnabon, blueberry muffin and apple upside down cake. 🔥outstanding! Freshly baked, the whole 2d street smells like heaven bcs of that bakery.

I got a cinnamon roll and asked for extra icing, was told by the young it was done. Also they only accept cash only, one would wonder if more sales would be done. People are not carrying much cash anymore.

If you hit Domenicos for the shredded pepperoni pizza, then you gotta got this spot as well when in town. The cinnamon rolls are well sinful. With or without pecans. The icing topping just makes these unreal. Yes they are cash only. I have tried a number of other things there. Everything is so good. Th3 cookies and the cherry deep dish. This is a must stop and you will not be sorry.

The best way to describe this place is like Christmas morning. The closer you get to the bakery, the more cinnamon and sugar you can smell.
Went a friday night I felt rushed I know it was busy but cstomer services was not there felt like he got bothered everytime I asked for something, and honestly the cinnamon rolls was not as good as they make it seem overly sweet and lack flavor I tried a couple of things like black fores pineapple upside down cake TOO SWEET for my liking, but if you have a sweet tooth maybe its the place for you. But I've tasted better.
