The Attic is a popular Southern-inspired restaurant in Long Beach, California. It is a craftsman-style house setting and elevated comfort food of Southern traditions with a twist. They have a full bar, indoor and outdoor seats. And their menu was compendious. Weekends tend to be very, very busy so get acclimated to wait for a table and/or be served. I came to grab brunch and luckily didn't wait to be seated; I sat at the very corner of the bar. I had drip coffee and Chicken ‘n waffle. Unfortunately, it was a bit bland despite the syrup poured in. Coffee was fine. Collectively, their food was just ordinary nothing really special; not even an ounce of a Southern flavor. I had better C & W at a non-Southerner breakfast spot in So Cal. On a positive note, their service was moderately slow on weekends. Prices of the food were a bit expensive for an average serving. Staff were competent and nice. Atmosphere was vibrant. Plenty of street parking. Toilet was clean and odorless.
Overall, I had a decent meal. And was not utterly blown away with their brunch food. It’s the hype that people get so excited about this spot. Sadly, I do not recommend them.

Always delicious and great atmosphere. I want to call attention as to how easy it was to make a large group reservation. I was able to make the resie for 8 people right on the website. The table was ready and service was great! We got the chicken and waffle - always a great choice, rice bowls were amazing with a little kick, and the french toast was a tower of decadence. Thanks for such a great experience!

This was my first experience at the attic and it won’t be my last. The grandmas cornbread and bone marrow pie was so delicious. The atmosphere was inviting and the service was attentive and respectful. My family and I had enjoyed the evening for a few hours leaving satisfied.

They might have good dine in service looking at them ,but personally this restaurant made me wait 30 min for a single order and im even literally writing this standing here till , worst experience they treat dine in good and pick ups are trash they don’t care unless you guys dine in theyll just past beside you and don’t care . I hope their manager looks at this its horrible, atleast increase the time for the order to ready, 30 min standing👎

Didn't let them put you in the covered patio when it's raining. Food was great. Near the end it started to rain harder and that's when the drips began.

For more than a few years I had been wanting to give this place a try, today we finally made it happen. Late lunch at 2:30pm, my guest ordered the reliable cheese burger with fries and I decided to go for what seemed like the most unusual dish, their Shakshuka Stew. Wow, the burger was great, but the Stew is this kind of satisfying meal where you felt like you also got a B-12 shot. Great flavor and very satisfying. I look forward to going back as soon as I have a chance. We were there in a not busy zone, so great service was expected and delivered. Thank you, and high compliments to the Chef👍
