I love how the tall guy (forget his name) and MsK are so personable I’m convinced they have to be from the south like me. The food is delicious also! I am so proud of these folks I’ve been dining with them for about 3years now
This place is 🔥 i had the fish shrimp combo mac n cheese and yams the lady had the oxtails double greens win defiantly be back they killed it and the vibes was it hats off to the chef and crew must try hands down thank you guys
Great food with top notch service!
Excellent food. The fried fish was flaky and crispy but not too heavy. The Gouda mac and cheese was tasty. Potato salad was on point. The strawberry cheesecake was delicious and well balanced not too sweet. The service was very good as well.
Delicious like it came straight from Grandma's kitchen. Hearty servings and Banana Pudding was🔥.
The best soul food in Long Beach. The food was amazing and full of flavor. The portion sizes are great for the price . The wait time was really long but it’s understandable as they are still working out the kinks . I would recommend this place .
Excellent food, service and cultural ambiance. Those oxtails were unreal!!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Outstanding soul food experience. The catfish was perfectly prepared, and the oxtail with grits was rich, flavorful, and well-seasoned. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and it was especially impressive that the cook personally came out to greet and speak with us. Excellent food and hospitality—I would highly recommend this place.
Absolutely fantastic food and service! Serving up very wonderful and nostalgic flavors
My guy and I went to try this new Soulfood place. We tried the oxtail dinner with rice, greens with cabbage, baked beans with ground turkey and cornbread. Everything was great, except the oxtails was a little salty. We are definitely going back and hope the business see our review and reduce the salt.

Not a long wait time, food was hot and seasoned. Had the fried fish, it was crispy an fried perfect. The oxtails anf rice was fire as well. Came from Detroit and randomly found this place.
The BEST SOUL FOOD IN LONG BEACH AND LOS ANGELES HANDS DOWN. Long Beach REALLY NEEDED THIS. I’m never disappointed when I eat here. Black owned black chefs taste like home like your mama, grandma and aunties cooking. My go to is the fried catfish and shrimp with Mac and cheese and collards BUT I recently tried oxtails with smothered rice…TENDERISM they were so good! Please support this business. The owner is definitely one of the good ones-OH and the peach cobbler and banana pudding..amazing !
Come and get some soul in you! Authentic Alabama style BBQ. I'm not not a soul food aficionado, but I say one of the best here in SoCal.
The food is legit soul food. You can taste the love in it. 10/10.
