An early bird visiting from Portland, Oregon and needed a place to relax while the rest of my family slept. I arrived just after opening (hence no parking issues) and had a drip coffee (delicious) and an apricot slice (equally delicious.) The coffee shop has a lovely, lived-in vibe with a true library feeling, with loads of comfy chairs as well as books lining the shelves. The two young baristas were also very welcoming and gracious. If I lived in Long Beach, I’d be one of the regulars.

I haven’t tried the food choices. The service was okay. Nothing special or over the top. The drink I ordered I don’t remember and it is usually cause it wasn’t a stand out original. The main downside of the Library is that it feels dusty and super old. Not enough air circulating through. I feel the seats and floor need a thorough clean. I’m not a fan and probably would visit again if it was the only coffee shop open later in the night than some.
Parking: I think aid would be great flowing through this place unless you like snug and pretty tight in space.
Kid-friendliness: I would not bring kids
Wheelchair accessibility: Not sure

I loved the vibe of this place, the decorations, the dessert and coffee are nice. It’s a perfect space to chill, working or just reading, plus the street that is located at is perfect to walk and do some local shopping plus is a couple of steps to the beach.

Where do I start?!?!? It's such a great feeling to find a gem in a big city like Long Beach!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED our visit to this cozy spot! I WILL DEFINITELY take a trip again to visit here!! I live about 40 min away and I think it's TOTALLY worth your time and money!! If you EVER get a chance to check this place out? DO IT!! you will NOT REGRET IT!! It's a unique place to visit, go on a hike at the beach then visit. Go watch the sunrise then visit. Impress your special someone on a first breakfast date! Visit with your friends and family. Take your books to study or just chillax, I promise you, you will enjoy it!! The food tasted amazing, even though I just had a breakfast croissant and regular coffee, the croissant tasted freshly baked fluffy and flaky like I love it. The eggs were equally fluffy and the bacon on point! Coffee was perfect, not crazy strong that would cause my hair to straighten or not too light that it wouldn't give me the caffeine kick I need. The ambience is so soothing and serene, perfect for feeling at ease and tuned into a good conversation, or a good book.🥰🥰 I wish that I'd live close to it, it would easily become my favorite spot to visit. The people that work there (seemed to me) slightly serious but they offer great service and are very professional. They were also genuine, helpful and generous. When we walked in it was very early in the morning around 6:30ish. We were greeted with the aroma of coffee and freshly baked bread or pastries. We realized that there were some hot, right out of the oven, chocolate croissants,. You could see some steam coming out and some melted chocolate on the sides.🤤🤤 I will definitely have some the next time we go. 😋😋 We made a big order and, unlike big chain restaurants, they got our order perfect on one try! So, if you ever want to check out this awesome place, PLEASE DON'T HESITATE and GO!! I hope you like it as much as I like it now! 🥰🎉😋💖

First time coming to this coffee shop. Highly recommend for those who want to use Wifi and study in a quiet and relaxed setting. No background music so it is easy to focus. Iced matcha latte with oat milk is also great, already sweetened thus better than most other coffee shops I've been to before.

Cute little place was giving Harry potter vibes. It's very popular, kinda crowded on a Sunday afternoon.
Coffe and food were amazing.
Hot chocolate could improve for the price it just tasted like Hershey's syrup and warm milk.
But over all the 2hrs I was there were chill.
Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't bring more then 1 small child with you here.
Wheelchair accessibility: Probably not the best place kinda cramped

Stopped by briefly, this place has an overall cool esthetic. Tried Turkish coffee, that stuff is strong! Really liked the roasted taste it had. The croissant was crispy on the outside & flakey, soft on the inside.
Kudos to them 👏🏼

A great cafe for studying with delicious cakes (everyone comes to study and has a full table).
I recently visited this place and had a deeply disappointing experience. I brought in a service dog, who is protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). However, the owner improperly demanded to see "papers" for my service dog, which is a clear violation of federal law.
Under the ADA, businesses are not allowed to request documentation for a service animal. They may only ask two questions: (1) if the dog is a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task the dog has been trained to perform. Despite this, I was unfairly asked to leave.
I have been coming here for many years. Many people bring their dogs in. This owner singled me out for whatever personal reasons and then discriminated against me.
I hope this business takes the time to educate itself about ADA regulations to prevent this from happening to others. Discrimination has no place in our community.

Ambiance is great. Seems to be usually filled with those working remote. Can be busy. Coffee is good but a bit pricey.

This was my fault (and is not a detraction), but I didn’t realize until I sat down for a business meeting that the “library” coffee house chose its name well - it was very quiet in the room where I found a seat, but there’s no doubt that it would make an excellent study location, contemplative lounge, or just a general quiet retreat. The front room is a more traditional coffee shop, but in the few times I’ve been, I’ve never gotten a seat there (it’s a popular place). The people are really friendly, and the coffee and pastries are excellent.
Kid-friendliness: I would not suggest this as a keen place for kids - kids should be welcomed everywhere (as they are our future), but bringing them here will probably ruin someone’s present.

I really like coming here. Unfortunately, this week alone I had two horrible experiences. On Monday, I was completely ignored by a girl behind the counter- she didn’t even speak (which is rude in her position) to the point where she left my order sitting there without letting me know it was ready- as I sat right in front of her waiting.
On Friday, I ordered the same exact thing and another girl called out my order and named it as “lame”. I picked up the receipt and it clearly said my name. It doesn’t bother me, but at least other people witnessed it and have a reason to call you out of your name too. Never forget redirection is God’s protection and karma don’t play! Que Dios te acompañe.

The Library was recommended by a friend at my usual coffee shop. It was a great atmosphere, lots of goodies to eat and ice cream! The coffee was good too. I'll be back. Maybe this is my new spot. Come early it filled up quickly - I just beat the crowd.

We ordered lattes and a croissant. The lattes were delicious not so the croissant. Loved the atmosphere and so did everyone there bc there was only outside tables available.
