The place is decent at best nothing exciting about it. Honestly the workers work so inefficiently that it takes multiple people to do one thing. I get the whole talking to your colleagues and stuff at work but does it really affect you to stop and have a conversation when there’s a line outside waiting? Yeah they were nice and customer service was good, but I’m not waiting almost 30 minutes for a weak over priced ice latte.

i always wondered why their lines are long and it’s pretty much because their team works so inefficiently. most of the time we are stuck waiting in line is because they can’t seem to talk and work at the same time. i understand enjoying your time while working, but your customers are priority. there is no reason why you have 5 people who work on one order at a time. the team here is very polite and welcoming but the inability to multitask ruins it all.
i love this café so much!! the coffee is good along with the pastries, i've been eyeing the cinnamon roll for a few weeks now 👀 the employees remembered my name pretty quickly and what kind of milk i like, which i appreciate. i come here occasionally for some coffee/breakfast with my coworkers :))

There will likely be a wait, and if the line is outside, expect at least 30 minutes. Is it worth it? Decisively so. I settled on a pumpkin crème danish and banana pancake bread and they were absolutely delicious. The coffee menu is creative, with lots of unique flavors like lavender, sage, and honey along with all the classics. Coffee tasted great and the large size had 4 espresso shots. Baristas were super friendly and not rushed, despite the wait.

I want to give a 5, cuz good croissants. But...I waited 25 minutes. What takes so long with 3 behind the counter? Don't be in a hurry.
I waited more than 30 min in line because of the cinnamon rolls. I saw a influencer post it and they gave a good review and I live in the area. I was not satisfied with them. They dint have that gooey brown sugar mixture in side the layers. It was dry and the only flavor I got was the sugar from the icing. It was legit just dough cinamon powder and icing! And for them to be $10 I bought 2 it was definitely not worth the $20.
I also got 2 ice coffees Horchata! And it was Amazing!!! I'd say one of the top Horchata coffees I've had! (Only reason id go back)
My daughter got a blueberry muffin and it was so fluffy and moist!
Overall never again getting the cinnamon rolls.

Such a gem! I got the lavender honey latte and it was perfection: smooth, floral, and just sweet enough. We shared a maple scone that was buttery and flaky, and the beef empanada was one of the best I’ve had. The space feels cozy but stylish, and everyone behind the counter was kind and welcoming. You can tell they really care about what they do.The Merchant is easily one of my new favorite coffee spots in Long Beach. They really made us feel welcomed to the neighborhood.

I come home to California frequently and love trying new spots with my family in Long Beach. This will be a go to spot from now on and kicking myself for not coming sooner even with it being on my list for so long. Great service, great friendly staff and great vibe inside and out. Cold brew and wife's latte were perfect and don't get me started on the soyrizo breakfast burrito, 5/5! Ill be back and im coming for those pastries next time.

Very cute and clean coffee shop with plenty of outside seating.
I had cheese bisquets (Yum!) And decaf americano. Supergood. I think they make their pastries.
A real finding today here, in Long Beach.
Clean bathroom for customers.

The merchant is litterally my all time fave coffee shop and I come here all the time!!! The service is great, the coffee is amazing, and I love their breakfast sandwiches and their burritos that they just started selling!! Although I really need them to start selling pumpkin spice lattes now because I refuse to support any other coffee shops that isn't the merchant
