The pot holder was started by hippies and when you had the munchies they made the food here so you could eat your heart out on delicious breakfast and lunches. The original owners were an older couple and they had potholders on the wall that's how the name came about. The hippie said this is a perfect name for us pot smokers and love the munchies. You won't find a better place for food in Long Beach I recommend this place highly.

I have been coming since I was a child, and the food is always wonderful. The place has a warm and inviting atmosphere with great service and friendly staff. You can also see photos of people all over the world embracing their love of the Potholder from photos they took, which garner the walls, creating a unique experience.
