So I drove myself from Barstow, believing that it was under it's previous ownership, which is now be served by new ((!!! NEw Owners & Cooks!!))). I hope to find a decent teriyaki as this place once served.

There’s new owners but does anyone know where the old cook went? I like his teriyaki a lot but don’t know where he went he made great rice and noodles mixed with vegetables . Hopefully someone knows where he went

update: it turns out that they lost me and another customers order after we both waited 35 minutes to get our food if your a trucker on lunch i dont recommend this place, and the cook was being rude to one of the customers telling him it was going to be an hour when most of the other customers. got their food in 20 minutes it wasnt even that packed

I just ordered a pastrami, but it was not seasoned, their pastrami sandwiches are not flavorful, cold - I I had an instant reaction to spit it out. Not seasoned (dipped) - I've eaten here before yearssssss ago - the owners must have changed. 🥴

I really enjoyed the California Plate! Shrimp, chicken, beef teriyaki. Service was fast and friendly. New owners since early 2025. New signage going up 2/8/25. I will be back soon!
