It's very good but not crazy inventive. Solid restaurant for a one off but menu doesn't change enough to come back.

We enjoyed the kale salad and our pastas (frutti de mare and artichoke), as well as our pleasant outdoor table under an arbor of bougainvillea. Sangria was too sweet (no liquor license so not very alcoholic either), service a bit casual but friendly. Resident squirrel provided entertainment.

Best food in Southern California. Staff are awesome and owner is hands on and extremely friendly. Great atmosphere & owner is an avid supporter of the arts. Lovely wine. Weekend trip and my group ate every night here. Don't look elsewhere

Delicious shrimp appetizer, very tasty!I had the gluten free pasta with spicy sausage and it was amazing!Service was fast and attentive! The ambiance was chill, pretty chill for a Thursday evening celebrating Mom's 74th bday! The half portions were more than filling! Highly recommend, definitely coming back!

My local friends recommended this on my visit, but I must have visited on an off day. I ordered the mushroom risotto and it was dry with undercooked rice. It honestly was a bummer.

This restaurant is just across the street from the Best Western Plus Convention Center, so we decided to walk over to try it. It has a small outside eating area as well as inside dining. We had an enjoyable dinner. I like that you can order half portions of some of the dishes (which were still good size) bc we didn't have a way to keep leftovers on our travels. The servers were friendly and attentive. I had the Linguini Cariofi (half) and my husband had the Mushroom Risotto (half). We shared the Ultimate Chocolate Cake, which was yummy.

Waitress didn't tell us it would be a 45 minute wait for our food until after we ordered. We ended up waiting over an hour for our food.I will admit however, the food itself was good. The pasta was very rich and creamy.

Premises were clean but service a little slow and food was mediocre. We had the roasted eggplant appetizer which tasted good but the mint-olive oil garlic sauce was not well distributed. The kale salad was bland and underdressed with very little dried berries, nuts or goat cheese. The penne arrabiata had the right amount of heat but was a bit too sour due to the banana peppers. The linguine in cream sauce was under seasoned. Overall fancy looking venue but the food quality and service didn’t match.

Fantastic food and equally fantastic service! There's a reason why this place has been a staple in the East Village for many years.
