I believe this is the best pizza for delivery or pickup in the traffic circle area of long beach. The vibes are always friendly with the staff and the service is great. I also really like the wings. This is a family owned business that has weathered not only the pandemic, but also the downtime of renovation that occurred when the plaza owners decided to reface the center. I'm happy to see that they made it and we can continue to enjoy their pizza.

25 years.... i have been coming here for 25 years..... but today is the last straw. These prices are insane. 25 dollars for a 2 topping. How do you justify these prices

I have never made a review about any place but this place is so infuriating. The older woman who works there is so rude. I am a regular to this place and the other guys who work there are great guys always chill dudes but the older lady who works there must hate her job. I ask for the simplest orders which is there 2 slice combo and she has to roll her eyes and nickel and dime me for every little thing when it usually is never like that. I don’t know if it’s personal but she always has a great attitude towards anyone else. Avoid this place if you see her in the window other than that the pizza is EXACTLYwhat you pay for. Stale and average as can be nothing further from that.

Valentino’s Pizza you are my savior. This absolute gem of an establishment makes my heart burst with joy.

I’m going to be honest now. I’ve only eaten here once, I ordered the small Detroit Style 4 corner pizza and I have been thinking about it everyday since that fruitful afternoon a few weeks ago. This thing was the perfect size to not over indulge in gluttony and be perfectly satisfied with the flavors. I wanna go to Detroit now thats how good it was.

This place also is definitely family owned and the young man who took my order was not only kind and patient with me, but exuded a brilliant radiance nearly akin to that of Saint Euthymius.

How often can one have a spiritual experience by just ordering a pizza?

Thank you Valentino’s for allowing me to try the best pizza west of the Mississippi. I haven’t been east of the Mississippi yet so I cant speak for the pizza there yet.

I've been coming here for years. I love their pizza, and my kids love their pizza. They recognize you after a few visits and are always welcoming. This location was just remodeled as well, in case you want to grab a slice and just enjoy some Long Beach weather. I will continue coming to this location!

Hella righteous pizza! Enjoyed a Detroit style pizza with crispy crust, ample toppings and a beautiful sauce with a great balance of sweet and savory. Will definitely be back for more

If you’re ever in the mood to be gaslit by a pizza place, boy, do I have a spot for you! I came here in desperation—a parent with starving kids, one on the verge of a migraine. I thought, ā€œWhat could go wrong with pizza?ā€ Well, apparently, EVERYTHING.

First, I asked for a pepperoni slice. Nope, sorry, we don’t have that. Fine, can you add pepperoni to a cheese slice? Nope, not allowed. Okay, fine. There’s a whole cheese pizza sitting RIGHT THERE—can I just buy that? Nope, we only sell it by the slice.

Cue the manager. I thought, ā€œAh, surely the voice of reason.ā€ But no. Instead, I got, ā€œYou can only have the whole pizza if you buy it by the slice.ā€ What kind of pricing model is this? It’s like they wanted me to solve a pizza-themed escape room to get my kids fed.

For reference, here’s the math: 6 slices at $14.99, plus $1.59 tax, comes out to $16.58. But no, they insisted I pay $19 because… reasons? That’s a $2.42 surcharge for absolutely no added value—unless frustration counts as a topping.

I ended up paying $19 for a pizza that should’ve cost $14.99. And let me tell you, it wasn’t the kind of pizza that makes you weep tears of joy. No, these were tears of regret and frustration. I didn’t feel like a customer—I felt like I was in a hostage negotiation.

Bottom line: If you enjoy paying extra for frustration with a side of mediocrity, this is your place. Otherwise, save your money and your sanity. Never again.

I have lived across the street from Valentinos for almost 30 years, and they have never let me down
Always delicious pastas, pizzas, and quality antipasto salads. The staff, family owned, are so kind and helpful, fast and efficient. My new favorite is the 4 corner Detroit style deep dish....phenomenal!! For such a little take out spot they deliver in a big way all that you'd want from a pizzeria!!
