Great food and service is good. I had a homemade Bloody Mary that was delicious. One of the best I've ever had.

Great meal. Great service. Loved the hasbrowns and pancakes. My husband thought the Rueben was phenomenal (and he is a big meat guy). Cameron was an excellent server with a constant smile.

Family owned dinner and a true cherished local spot. My family love to come for breakfast and sometimes we sit outside with our dog. Friendly service, no fuss, efficient, lovely. The food is consistently good and the portions very good.

Village Cafe is one of those special places that feels like it’s from another time—in the best possible way. Tucked away in Lakewood Village, it gives off a small-town, country restaurant vibe where the regulars know exactly when to show up and what to order. It’s cozy, welcoming, and always feels like home.

The service is friendly and genuine, and you never feel rushed. Whether it’s a quiet morning or a busy weekend, the staff makes you feel like family. And the food? Classic, hearty, and satisfying. My personal favorite is the country fried steak and eggs—crispy, comforting, and always cooked just right. It's the kind of meal that hits the spot every single time.

Village Cafe is one of those neighborhood gems that make Lakewood Village feel like its own little world. If you know, you know. And if you don’t—go find out.

Best breakfast spot around! Staff is warm and friendly. They truly care about customers. On more than one occasion I witnessed the owner providing local homeless with free meals. They are good folks!

I would not recommend this place. The food is awful, and the owners seem racist. There's way better spots throughout Long Beach and Lakewood.

The food here is consistent and good. Best crispy waffles and the potatoes are golds, so they are SO buttery. The folks here are amazingly nice. We started coming every weekend, and it's always a lovely time. Service is good, but quick.

There isn't a whole lot of seating so we had to wait. We were there at close to 10 am on a Saturday morning and waited 15 minutes. The table we had at the beginning was close to the door so it was super windy. The food is super affordable and yummy and the service was good. The staff allowed us to switch tables which was great! I totally recommend this space. I got the 2 plus 2 plus 2 menu. My friend got the corned beef hash which tasted more like pastrami. I liked it but she wasn't too crazy about it. My husband had a waffle...
