A big group of us went to celebrate a friend’s Birthday. She’s a wine lover & we also wanted to support a black owned business. Great indoor space w/ outdoor seating. Loved the soul food menu (not sure if that was a special or permanent thing). I think you can tell how legit someone’s soul food is by tasting the greens, they did not disappoint! I also tried the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and cornbread (which was soooo Moist) All of it was fire ? Roger was very accommodating and kept checking in on us. Great conversations were had & he was receptive to our needs & input. Thank you for your graciousness ?? Y’all need to pop in and check this place out sometime????

They wouldn't accept a gift card purchased a month prior. The waiter was slammed and couldn't bother to call for help. This was our second bad experience here.

Lovely, establishment. You should Invest in a saxophonist for a more intimate setting on a Saturday and Sunday evening. I promise you, business will be booming !

FANTASTIC PLACE. I'm not an expert wine taster but they allowed me to sample some. The service is great . They also have a jazz singer. Great date night or spot to relax. Very Classy I gave them 5 Stars. I would have given them a 6 but the app has a max of 5.

Wow, so happy we had the opportunity to spend a evening here listening to live music and eating amazing food. I'm not a wine drinker and usually find winery food to be too bland. This place was a pleasant surprise. It's a small but friendly welcoming staff, so be patient there could be a well worth it wait. Our party of 8 had an amazing experience thanks to Lexi, Paul and the crew.

First time there yesterday and had a fantastic time!!! Great atmosphere with a live band called "Milk and Honey" who was simply amazing! Good mix of R&B, Soul, and Gospel. Hopefully "Soulful Sundays" becomes a regular thing! The service was great and the food was outstanding!!! Had the sampler which consisted of shrimp and grits, catfish, and fried Mac and cheese balls. Every single item was great.Lastly, it's a winery and the wine did not disappoint! Ended up taking home a bottle of their exquisite "Mambacita" red wine (you read it correctly). Suffice to say, we'll be back!!!

Oh my gosh - I had such a very lovely time here. I went to listen to a dear friend sing blues - and I just fell in love with the place. Wonderful ambiance. I couldn't believe how personable the wait staff was. I gobbled up their classic bruschetta and my companion, who had never had it before, fell in love with it and swore up and down he was going to try to make it at home from now on. I wish I didn't live an hour away!

A cozy and upscale winery that offers absolutely DELICIOUS selections! My family and I visited a week ago and had a lovely time. The staff is very attentive and offer great suggestions. I loved my spicy pizzette (emphasis on SPICY)! I also recommend the white sangria. That bottle didn't stand a chance!

Great location! Atmosphere amazing. Cute little shop in back. Staff and owner were very friendly, knowledgeable, and had patience to help me find my right new palette!

Something is off about this place now, the food isn’t the same. The quality of the food has gone down, especially the taste something is just off. I was really enjoying this place but I’ll choose elsewhere.

Had their Spicy Sausage Pasta again and it was as perfect in flavor, texture and saucy which we sopped up with a side of their buttery delicious toast points. Dinner was paired with an amazing bottle of Malbec, which was on point. And, finished the night with the Pastry Chef's Peach Cobbler and a scoop of vanilla ice cream that Paul paired with some of their yummy Chocolate Coffee Port. Couldn't have asked for a more delicious night. Thanks and see you soon!

Great new location, continuing to do what they've always done well. Food and Wine! Be sure to stop in for your next date night!

Great winery with amazing wines, and an atmosphere to match with lovely live music that sends to another time a different world. Cheers!

During the tour of the sidewalk countertop and extended patio, L-shaped loft, and first floor dining area I was taken on a storytelling journey of how the husband and wife duo ventured into the world of wine and across the pond to expose patrons to a global network of new varietals. In operation less than a year under new management, I wanted to chat with owners Keyla and Roger Whitenhill, check out the new location, Waters Edge Winery's layout, and do a round of tastings!First wine tasting stop was Savi! Check into the IG Stories for a snippet about Savi. Although Waters Edge Winery sources their grapes from vineyards located in France, Italy, Spain, Australia, South Africa and the United States, today's tasting turned to a sip trip to Armenia . I learned more about their Areni (Noir) grape and that Armenia sets itself apart to be known as the home of the oldest winery in the world. My favorite part about tasting is experiencing hints of the terroir in each sip. And, Waters Edge Winery walked me through the Armenian terroir with each pour, either limestone or volcanic lava.* Areni - intense color, aromas of dark cherry, blackcurrant, and a sprinkle of black pepper.* Sireni Areni (Khndoghni) - red ripe fruit aromas and dark berry characteristics finished with silky tannins and a Gamay-like jamminess.* Voskehat -aromas of citrus, fresh-cut grass, and alpine flowers with a gorgeous golden hue.We closed the tasting with the establishment's highly sought after Mocha Chocolate Port.I visited on a Saturday night and sat in for an evening jam session with Acoustic Soul Express, watched the night crowd flow in, and indulged in the bistro menu. Waters Edge Winery is definitely a neighborhood gem. If you haven't stopped in, make your way to the heart of downtown Long Beach and make space for a whole vibe.Honorable Mention: Big Daddy Red - Merlot Syrah Zinfandel grapes sourced from California and ChileBistro Burger with black truffle fries
