We are HUGE Yang Chow fans and were super excited that they opened a Long Beach location so close to our house. Now we don’t have to drive to Chinatown anymore. You can’t go wrong ordering anything from here, it’s all delicious! But, our regular order is Slippery Shrimp, green beans, Yang Chow fried rice, and beef & broccoli. The Slippery Shrimp is really the star of the show. I’m sure the name is lost in translation because it doesn’t sound at all like its name. It is crunchy, sweet, sour, & spicy. This is the dish that the fast food place with the Panda’s walnut shrimp wants to be when it grows up. There is a reason why Yang Chow is so many people’s favorite Chinese Food restaurant, it truly is the best. And the Long Beach location allows you to order their most popular dishes and 10 minutes later be eating. This location isn’t big, so the dining area is small and not really great. But, this is the place to get the best food to-go and fast! You have to try it!

This place is great, food comes out fresh and hot with very quick service. My takeout order was ready very quickly. So happy to have Yang Chow and their slippery shrimp closer to home.

I came here because I was staying at a hotel down the street just for one night. I figured it had good reviews and lots of them so may as well give it a try. I’m pretty unimpressed with the quality of the food. It’s fine in a pinch, but definitely nothing to rave about.

The food was tasty with decent portions, but was super overpriced for what I got.

While the service was easy and quick, received my food in less than 5 minutes. The szechuan beef bowl I ordered was very disappointing. The glaze they put on the beef basically tastes the same as what you would find on orange chicken. The rice was wet and soggy, seemed like they cooked it with too much water, and the broccoli was obviously undercooked. $15 spent not well.

The recipe for the kung pao chicken has definitely changed. The flavor is bland has no taste The only save was the adding thechili oil. The and quality is not the same.

Yang Chow is one of my favorite places to eat. I didn't take any photos but the Shrimp fried Rice,Chicken fried rice and the Spring rolls are the best. They have other delicious items on the menu as well. This location is much smaller than the Yang Chow in downtown Los Angeles. The customer service is very good. My family and I are there for Mothers day and it seated nine of us comfortably. It's small and intimate but you can have your meal there they are pretty quick with the order so you don't have to wait long to enjoy your meal. If you are in Long Beach check them out or Downtown LA. Decent parking as well.

I wanted to love this place but I have to agree with the other reviews. The food was okay (a bit salty and stingy with the protein) for such expensive prices.
