I’m leaving this review solely on their take out service. They have certain things that you have to call to order (not available for online order) and I’ve currently been on hold 20 minutes- on a Tuesday-at 4:30pm. What could be that draining on a restaurant mid afternoon on a Tuesday. Either have everything available for online order or staff enough people to handle the call volume.

I just picked this up like 20 minutes ago and I guess I should have checked this before leaving the bakery. The employee cut it way lopsided.

Katella Deli has just about anything your heart desires! From fresh breads to savory sweets! My grandmother took me here for the first time, and it did not disappoint. I will definitely be going back soon. I recommend the maple pecan scone, mini blueberry pie, and cinnamon rolls!

Let's Play. Let's have fun

If I could give this place minus stars I would I have to say that the people here are extremely rude. You buy something and it is like they are doing a favor to you. I bought a cup of coffee and it took 10 min to the lady to go an get it. When I asked for the coffee she said she was busy. I asked to talk to the manager and he didn't even let me finish my sentence. I won't go back to this place, they are better places where they respect you and they are so overpriced.

Afternoon Bakery attendants have a bit of attitude. Food is tasty but go early in the morning, not mid afternoon .

It's funny how poor service can override all the other good features of a place. Our server last night, Isabel, was friendly but inattentive. I ordered a pint of beer, she turned in the order, and I watched the pint sit there on the bar for several minutes. She walked right past it once and did other things in the back of the house before coming back and bringing it. The food included fries and when she stopped by the table she asked whether we needed anything. I asked for ketchup and she again disappeared in the back of the house. In the meantime, a group at the next table paid their bill and left. I walked over to that table and grabbed their ketchup. Several minutes later, she brought a bottle. The fries would have been cold if we waited for her. The food is good here, the place is attractive, but the uncaring service makes me not want to return.

We have been coming here since we were kids, now in our 60's. So excited to be in the area and come to the bakery for our usual favorites which we do about once a year. Everything we got was terrible!! Not sure if they have new recipes, bakers, cut costs, or whatever! We got the French macaroons in every flavor and the all tasted the same (like sugar), the oatmeal raisin cookie tasted burnt, the thin cookies half dipped in chocolate had a chemical tasted (by the way these used to be thin chocolate chip cookies to die for), peanut butter & double chocolate chip cookies were ok but could have been made at home by anyone! We threw away the French macaroons, the dipped cookies and the oatmeal cookies. We are heartbroken!! The young lady who got our order was friendly that is the only kind thing I can say.

It's been some years since we last were there. They've seriously renovated. It looks great but I think it lost its deli charm. We had a lot of food but primarily went for the potato knish. It was kind of tough so it wasn't what we had built up in our minds. But it was all still good.
