Delicious warm bowls! Good value for sushi too. The ladies taking orders are so nice too.

Don't order the Sango Salmon. I don't know if the cut of fish is thinner than it used to be, but the last few times I've ordered, it has been really

Very good food and awesome people running it. Like a little piece of Japan in Los Alamitos.

This is a nice simple causal place. Lols like they do a really brisk take out business, but we chose to eat in. Food was fresh and delicious! I was looking for a good futomaki roll and this one was great! I had it with the chicken teriyaki and tempura combo my nice had two hand rolls

Pure old country style - we come for the cold or hot soba - fortunately they survived the Great Covid Shutdown Panic

Sango will give any person a great introduction into the standard faire you can expect from a small neighborhood restaurant in Japan. It is not very fancy inside, but the place is staffed by many Japanese speaking staff and sushi chefs, seating areas are clean, and prices are reasonable. They also offer great lunch and sushi combi specials. My family loves to come here to grab platters of sushi for parties and family gatherings. The hours of operation are something to keep in mind, though. They are closed on Mondays and for 2 hours in the mid-afternoon on the other weekdays. Otherwise, my go-to place for quick and reasonably prices sushi or Japanese food in the area.

I had an amazing experience at Sango Sushi in Los Al! The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The sushi was simply outstanding - fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. I especially loved the creative rolls, like the "California" and "Caterpillar roll". I also appreciated the extensive menu, which offered a wide variety of options to pair with my meal. Overall, I highly recommend Sango Sushi to anyone in the Los Al area looking for delicious, high-quality sushi in a warm and inviting setting. Can't wait to go back!

Fair prices and great service for solid food. Our take out orders are always a shorter than expected wait. The employee graciously answers our questions, gave us extra ginger, and pointed to where we could get extra teriyaki sauce. The no frills dining area inside leaves a little to be desired.Big varied menu. Good selection of well-priced combos that come with steamed veggies, and an iceberg lettuce salad with a fresh deeeliicious ginger dressing. Large meat portions in our usual orders of teriyaki chicken and pork Katsu. My parents share one teriyaki combo. They sell sake, beer and some wine as well.

I’ve been coming here for literally a decade since high school. The food is wonderfully authentic Japanese cuisine for a great price. My all-time favorite item is the beef udon, and it’s my favorite udon of anywhere. Definitely give this little mom and pop shop a try if you’re in the Los Al area!

I really like the food at Sango Sushi, I've been a cyst for about 20 years. The food quality is good and the prices are reasonable.

The food was so good. I highly recommend the katsu pork donburi. It was one of those rare So Cal days when it was pouring rain. The donburi was like a warm comforting hug. Although the others loved their food, they wish they had ordered it.My one complaint was that everything came packaged in to-go containers even though I ordered to eat onsite. Every other table's orders came like that also. They gave us a cheap paper bowl to dump the udon noodles and broth in (when we left the bottom of the bowl was so wet it transferred to the table). The sushi was delivered in clamshell containers. It is an extra expense for the restaurant, wasteful and inconvenient at the table. At least the donburi, poke bowl and bento dishes were served in a plastic container that were a bit more sturdy. If we order the same dishes next time I will bring a bowl for the udon and small plates for the sushi. It will be worth the trouble. With that being said, we're planning our next visit. Sorry, forgot to take pictures. ?

Last year my girlfriend and I went this this sushi restaurant based on the reviews. As we entered, we were the only customers there. The sushi chef was busy behind the counte made no acknowledgement. The two servers were busy talking to each other. We received no customary welcome so common in other sushi restaurants. We sat down and waited and waited and waited and waited. We had direct eye contact with the two servers and still no acknowledgement. 25 minutes later we got up and left disgustedAnd yes they were open for business. We would never go back to this establishment.

I needed to revise my last review because they hired a new dishwasher! And they got bento boxes again! Not white Styrofoam to go containers... but the real deal.... and now I will be able to eat my udon dishes in a real bowl! I would normally give this place 4 Stars but eating off of real plates made my dining experience 5 Stars... I want to thank the Sango management and staff and dish washer for making my experience a 5 Star one!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
