I ordered the fried chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and it was as some have said better than homemade. My late husband was a fantastic cook and this was as good or better chicken then he would have made. The apple fritters were good and I appreciate that they were served with butter. I came in by mind usually don't get the best of service but I was pleasantly surprised! Will return and try some of the dinner items as I bet their soup is amazing as well!

Love the garden 🏡 style. The koi fish pond is so nice. The food was delicious 😋. My salad was an interesting creation, right from a wedged of iceberg lettuce 🥬.
It was fun walking through the shops afterwards and admiring all the creations of local artists.

Category: Gastro Pub. Although the quaint, simply appointed, beamed-raftered and hardwood-floored inside dining room would be the right place to dine on the right night, al fresco is the place to be: a large patio, naturally shaded by stately old trees, a bridge between two ponds, Tom-Sawyerish fishermen statues tempting real Koi in the ponds below. The restaurant’s full name is Shenandoah at the Arbor. Webster’s defines ‘arbor’ as “a shelter of vines or branches.” Because a picture is worth a thousand words, the word could be more concisely but accurately defined by a photo of the patio. And if the branches and vines are not always enough, umbrellas guarantee shade when it’s wanted. At night, strings of fairy lights make the arbor almost magical. In case of a chill, an army of heaters stand ready to be deployed. What’s missing to make it perfect: music. Oh, wait, live music began just after we seated, at which time wine was the first order of business, as it always is. We were happy to see that about half of the reds were $50 or less (our sweetspot for restaurant wines). Before we ordered, the famous Apple Fritters touched down. Our hosts’ earlier ravings about them turned out to be justified. The menu, which I call elevated comfort food, offered many temptations. I chose the deeply savory Chicken Tortilla Soup to start. For my main I chose the delicately delicious Sand Dabs, which I rarely see east of the California Coast. My friend, who is a regular, chose the fried chicken, which he orders on every visit. It was an evening of greats: setting, atmosphere, wine, food, music, service, and most importantly, friends. YouTube’s Chef’s Apprentice

A most enjoyable atmosphere for a meal. Love the complimentary warm apple fritters and the flamed peach/ice cream dessert.

We are from Puerto Rico and visited your restaurant last week. We all loved, the atmosphere is cozy and the food is excellent. Your staff is absolutely great. A great choice and a wonderful experience. Definitely a great 💯. Will visit you again on my next trip to California.
This was second time that I dined here. The first was quick lunch.
This was a birthday dinner, small party. Cuisine was exquisite. Inviting wine list, very reasonably priced. Service was friendly and attentive without being cloying.
One could spend princely sums at high end SoCal restaurants and not have such an enjoyable meal.

Easily one of the best meals on my Thanksgiving trip to visit my family from Portland, Oregon. From the first morsel to hit my lips (Fritter, biscuits) to my Fried Green Tomatoes… to the finale of the Seafood Gumbo… everything was a 5 star.
Please don’t judge me… but… I did lick the bowl. 😳

Food is great! If you're not big on sauces, ask for it on the side.
We ate outside on a chilly evening and the staff made sure we had a heater near our
table. Thank you!
Miss that the gift stores close at night. Especially as the holidays are quickly approaching, will they be open >n December at night?

Visited today because we wanted to enjoy lunch on an outdoor patio. Not disappointed with their lovely tree covered patio and delightful koi pond, as well as the courtyard of the adjacent businesses! Ambience is 5 star and service was excellent. We arrived about 35mns before the lunch hours ended and were not rushed, although we wanted to order quickly so the kitchen staff could start their cleaning/prep for the dinner hour at 5pm. While perusing the menu, we were brought some very tasty warm apple fritters which we gobbled up. We were then brought two yummy dinner rolls that were dense in the best way! We ordered flavorful brussel sprouts as an appetizer that were hard to stop snacking on. We should have stopped there because that was enough to fill us up but we did not! We wanted to order the lunch special pork sandwich but they were out so we ordered the Summer Pasta with Veggies and the Chicken Sandwich with Cabo fries and a side of chipotle ranch for dipping. Sadly, we were disappointed because both dishes were bland. The summer pasta has the potential to taste better with more seasoning or changing to a cream base (which is more winter, I know). I would also recommend adding chicken or shrimp, but my friend ordered it with veggies. The chicken sandwich breading didn't have flavor but the chicken breast was juicy, the slaw made the bottom brioche bun complete mush and inedible, and there was far too much mayo on the sandwich (get it on the side or switch it to the chipotle ranch). It lacked any punch and I ended up only eating the chicken breast. The Cabo fries were fine but just standard frozen / deep fried style and I dipped them in a side of chipotle ranch (note above - get it for the sandwich). I feel the menu is a few dollar over-priced per entree, but this is CA so I didn't expect any diffrerent. We were far too full for dessert but ordered a dozen apple fritters and 4 dinner rolls to go. Those apple fritters won't see the light of day tomorrow.
Vegetarian options: Appetizers, salads, some dishes, desserts.
Parking: I think there were about 8-9 spots, maybe more, plus 2 handicapped spots located behind the building. Parking is also shared with the two shops and salon in the "complex". I imagine it's a madhouse during the earlier lunch hours so be prepared to park and walk.
