Had a bit of a disappointing experience at this restaurant. A member of our party ordered the fried chicken salad with blue cheese dressing, but after tasting the dressing we were all convinced it was ranch? We weren’t a fan. We asked for a replacement of the salad which the waiter provided, but while we waited the manager came out and insisted that we did have the blue cheese dressing. We told her it didn’t taste like blue cheese, and she told us that “we’ve been making it for 40 years, and we haven’t had problems before”. There was a bit more back and forth until we asked to remove the salad from our tab and skip it entirely. The whole interaction just left us feeling a bit frustrated and weirded out. For the price we were paying for our meals I would hope it would be a smooth experience, but instead we argued with the manager over their house dressing. Especially for a 22$ salad our experience was disappointing.

I will say the waiter offered to substitute soup instead afterwards but at that point we just felt uncomfortable and asked for the tab.

The rest of our food was good, but not worth the 25-30$ price tag for the meals.

We walked into the Shanendoah for the first time in a year, not knowing what to expect. When we walked in, we were greeted by a kind young lady named Lorelei who sat us to our table outside. Throughout our meal, she was extremely attentive to us and other diners at the restaurant. She was very efficient and kind whenever she was asked something, and always responded with great manners. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was amazing, but Lorelei needs a raise!

Hidden gem. We were a part of four. Excellent service. We at dinner outside patio. Beautiful out side lighting. Heater kept us warm . Prices are a bit pricy..but service, ambiance , wine and food were Excellent. Well worth the price for special occasions. Will be coming back for our 66 wedding Anniversary

We been going to Shenandoah since they were on 2nd st in Belmont Shores. Sometimes we eat there sometimes take out. Oct 30 was take out! It was the absolute worst! The crab cakes were burnt black on one side almost the same on the other, they were So dry! The New York stake was ok. I asked for extra fritters and rolls; got 1 of each extra!! Geez Louise! The way the food was set in the bag for pick up, was a mess! The crab cakes sat side ways on the bag. To top it off when I called the order in starting to place my order, I was put on hold, they came back I continued and placed on hold again, back to placing my order the girl didn’t seem like she was interested in my order. Now we will be rethinking about going there again!
Oh and the food was almost cold, I got there when they told me to pick up!! Ugh!!!!!

Service was excellent and the ambiance was very charming. Food was good. Overall a worthwhile visit, but nothing extraordinary.

The outdoor patio seating is picturesque (it truly IS an arbor!) and comfortable. Service was great and food was hot and delicious! I wonderful place to enjoy lunch and conversation with a friend!
