Looks like this place has closed. It's lunchtime and I'm out front and the door is locked. Super sad because the food and service was great. A five star for sure.

Has this place closed ??? No one answers the phone. I have driven by several times and it looks like it is no longer open. Does anyone know what happened?

Some days their food is delicious, other days, it's just OK. I don't understand why the difference. The first time I went there it was wonderful. It was very authentic KC flavor. The second time, the food had a tart flavor - not KC flavor. They also service Asian cuisine, so I wondered if some of the sauces got mixed up. The second time, it was good but not spectacular like the first time.

Hours are incorrect. I've gone by 3 times and they were closed during normal business hours. Such a bummer

The food is amazing! The meats: ribs, tri tip, the brisket and chicken. The sides: collard greens, corn bread, corn, potato salad, baked beans. The desserts: sweet potato pie! Everything is delicious and affordable.

the tri tip was amazing! It tasted like it was barbecued and the meat was very tender! I am definitely going back

Delicious food great staff. We went around dinner time and everything was great. They took care of us and we were treated with utmost respect. I could tell the bbq had been sitting a while but it still tasted delicious and was moist. Would love to try again for lunch it will not be to much longer before I go back. Excellent experience

I really like Beef Ribs, no matter who makes them, (including making them myself). I've eaten the beef rib order with bbq beans and corn 2xs, and was planning on a 3rd trip today keeping my fingers crossed since it is 7/4/19, and I don't fell like cooking today. Unfortunately they are closed. This is a husband/wife small and not a "National Chain" style operation. For the prices on their menu, they are super reasonable. If you want to pay double for less meat, go to Maderas, also 5 Stars in my opinion. If I could, I'd give Wood Ranch Grill 10 stars, it's the best I think, but most pricey. For me, Lucille's is a thumbs down (2 star), compared to Wood Ranch Grill. Cutting this business apart for having a? (Home Depot Smoker?), what is that all about. It is probably used more times in 1 week than the reviewer has ever bbq in their life. WHO CARES what the name brand is on the equipment, as long as it works. If it didn't work, I think this business, (that I hope can stay around for awhile), would not have survived for as long as it has. If the 1-2 star people think you are going into a high end Steak/BBQ restaurant, go somewhere else. (This local husband and wife business is too good for you). You need to , or go out, and pay double or triple your bill. But before you order your food, go into the kitchen to make sure everything they use is high end stainless steel cooking equipment. Thanks for opening in Los Alamitos Steve Simms!

Drove by a lot and finally decided to stop in and try it out. I'm a big bbq lover so I love trying new places. As a smoker/grill myself seeing a cheap $100 smoker from Home Depot outside isn't the best front door decoration. I personally feel like a cheap product on display means cheap quality inside. ANYWAYS, I just decided to start simple, for 1 lb or pulled pork and corn bread. Got it home, the pulled pork looks like some mush that you used to get at grade school when they served sloppy joes. Little to no flavor in the meat, seemed saturated in sauce and just sitting in that aluminum tin for too long. Tried the bread, very bland cornbread. I make better muffins from that 50 cent box at the store. The gentleman was very polite and offered up some specials they're having. So that was nice. Unfortunately for the quality of food in my 1st trip, I just find it yard to convince myself in giving it a 2nd try. I'll take my 20 bucks elsewhere or just throw meat in my own rig.

Just came in and got some hot links and a rib lunch special. The s*** was f****** fire. Guy in the back for sure knows how to bbq.

Wont go back. If you you can't B-B-Q Brisket, no reason to. The Brisket was over-cooked, old, probably ready for the lunch crowd and what was leftover, sold to the dinner crowd. Terrible.

People that are saying this is GREAT BBQ dont know Bbq.. Its like saying little ceasers is the best pizza (it isnt) from the moment we walked in we were questioning ourselves its family owned and it was like he wanted a bbq place and she wanted to specialize in Philipino food. The brisket looked like it was cooked in a crock pot with liquid smoke. Tri tip was cut wrong so you bit into leather. The ribs were waterlogged from being boiled. And the sweet tea was Raspberry. Raspberry is not the same as sweet tea. Once we were given our food she took off so the "chef" came out and watched TV while we ate.

If the smell of the BBQ as you're walking by doesn't draw you in, the amazing customer service will for sure! The owner was amazing and let us try some of his favorite dishes and signature meats. I came in for lunch with some co workers and enjoy the two meat platter. I got the pulled pork and brisket, along with potato salad and Mac and cheese. My co workers got the baked beans, and they were delicious! Simms offers sandwiches, plates, as well as, Filipino food too! His wife is Filipino, so you can enjoy some KC bbq and lumpia too (not bad!) The restaurant has plenty of KC decor, and puts on any KC sporting events that may be on that day (Royals, Chiefs) It's a nice addition to Los Al that lacks many BBQ spots, plus something different outside of the tacos, sandwiches, and burgers that are common in the area. Give it a try when looking for a new spot. You won't be disappointed!

At first I thought ohh this is good, then I kept eating...I slowed down....I chewed my food, tasted the sauce... Savored the trip tip, bewildered the brisket, basked in the baked beans, and the macaroni made me .... Me again. I had a bar b que craving and that's was that. Past tense. Had. Craving satisfied. Stomach satisfied....all I can wonder next is how good can the sweet potato pie be...???
