I was just traveling through my hotel was close by so I thought I would give it a shot. I really enjoyed the food here. The Service. was excellent. I would recommend it.

We always pick up and take home delicious chicken kabob and kefta plates. Garlic potatoes are also very tasty. I'm not even sure if you can sit down at the Taboon Express we go to. The servers have always been very nice, though.
If you want some really good food come here. Mo made me the lemon mint drink OMG it was absolutely delicious. Great service and food. Nice cozy atmosphere. Truly a hidden jewel.

I’m so so sorry for all those that miss out on this little gem tucked away in this little strip mall cause you’re certainly missing out on some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in ages. Superblylicious!!! The place is small and very unassuming and in fact I thought I had walked in the wrong place if not for the yummalicious smell of the food in the air that had pulled me further in…my son picked this place out but I’d been wanting to try it for several months. I had the Lamb kabab dinner my son had the steak and then ordered a chicken kabab on the side. They were so delicious and tender I will order all 3 again. Yep. All THREE and share. Oh oh…the Garlic potatoes are off the rocker. So Ah-May-Zing! One order is enough for 2 people. But let’s talk hummus…seriously let’s talk. I love hummus and they do hummus. 5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ for the hummus. So to recap we ordered the kabab dinner which are served over a huge bed of fluffy flavored rice with a grilled onion and tomato, huge serving of hummus ❤️ plus pita bread, salad, pickled spicy onions and the best garlic dip EHVERRRR! They have wraps, bowls and all kinds of items. The food is done right and I’m already planning to go back this week. They have 2 other locations. The one in Long Beach is a larger restaurant that is a larger dine in serves wine and beer. Going to try there too.
What a local gem of a spot. Got the chicken kebab plate (to go). They’re generous with sides, and the chicken, tomato, and onion were brilliantly charred and perfectly spiced. Hummus was rather good. Pita left some to be desired, felt like it was just pulled out of a package. If the pita was fresh and warm, this would have been 5 stars.

Food is one of the best in OC, it takes a while to make (as with all middle eastern restaurants). The serving sizes are large, and the staff are hospitable.
This was our go and support a family owned business night. Small eating area but clean. The waitress was very helpful and polite. Food not so good. We had friends recommend this restaurant but we have had better for less money. Good luck in the future.

Came here for the first time today, as i been eating to try it. I was greeted by Mo in the front. Very sweet and hansom young man. I got the Taboon mixed grill, and it did not disappoint . Every thing was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was perfect. Will come back soon thanks Mo-Money

Folkssssss!!! Please do NOT sleep on this amazing authentic Mediterranean spot! My husband and I ordered the Kafta Kabab combo. Kafta was perfectly cooked to a medium- juicy and flavorful. Baba Ghanoujj was smokey and delicious. Califlower and garlic potatoes were cooked to perfection with burst of lemony tahini goodness!What are y'all waiting for??? Goooo :)

We love Mediterranean food, and when we were out here visiting the Beach & we got hungry, so the hubby looked up this awesome Mediterranean restaurant in Garden Grove called Taboo Mediterranean Restaurant. When we walked in we met Moe, who was awesome at explaining the menu to us, and helping us, in making a decision on the best dish that he could. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious! We ended up ordering the Taboon mixed grill plate with 3 different skewers of protein. The chicken kabob, the Beef kefta , and we substituted the lamb for the filet mignon. Then we ended it with the their amazing Baklava à la mode! Like I said, everything was fresh and good and their restaurant is clean and the Service is on point! We will definitely be back. Thanks again to Moe for the great dining experience and all of the awesome suggestions of food. It was definitely worth every Penny!

Great value for the family meal. One tray of food included choice meats : we got chicken and beef shawarma plus kefta or shaped grilled meat kabob; came with two types of pilaf : saffron and cilantro I think ; the side for the family meal were also generous portions of hummus, baba ghanouj, we added falafel, grilled halloumi and grape leaves to our meal. The sides of pickled red onions, radish and garlic cause were a delicious combination with all the food. Also tried the lemon mint and jallab or Rose water drink. Food took maybe 30 minutes to be ready but that's completely acceptable for fresh made.The spot is an " express" , I didn't see anyone else dining there. Quiet and friendly service. Lots of parking when I came about 7 pm.There's so much on the menu to pick from. I will try the baklava and rice pudding next time.
