TACOS EL JEFE LOS ALAMITOS

It was my first time here. We had wanted to sit down & eat, but hadn't realized that they close at 7:00. Seems really early for any restaurant, especially on a Friday night, so that was a bummer. But the employee at the register let us know we would have to order the food to-go before we ordered, that was good. The employee at the register was patient as we had never viewed the menu & took us a minute to decide. They have a salsa bar with a good variety. Our order was ready between 5 & 10 minutes. The location is small but cozy. There is not much parking in the lot, although there is parking on the street right by the restaurant. There was lots of cheese in my burrito, which I loved. My husband said that the asada in his burrito was just OK. The portions were large with average prices.

I called to pick up 5 tacos to go, an yet no onion no cilantro.

I had a quessadilla gobernado and it was so gross. All soggy and falling apart. The birria tacos where edible but nothing special.

Stopped by here for taco tuesday. Ordered a variety of their tacos and a large horchata. Everything was pretty good. The sauce bar was great. The sauces weren't watered down and had good flavor. Their horchata wasn't bad. I recommend this place if you're in the area

Menu changed and the prices went up, even for Taco Tuesday too. The most overpriced tacos in the whole surrounding area...

If someone's over waiting for slow restaurants and they're just standing there, but you decide to interpret they're impatient, that's on you. I don't gotta perform no kind of emotion for you if I'm minding my own business and the order is way late. My mood is my problem, focus on your work

I’m glad they open another branch closer and open earlier than the other branch and Mexican restaurant when I’m craving for tacos and birria ramen. Only negative thing I have is the parking situation as they shared with other establishment in the complex.

Ordered carnitas torta 10/10. I’ve also tried the birria Quesa tacos. On days they can be the best but sometimes there not unfortunately. Girl taking the orders is very nice and friendly. She welcomes you as soon as soon as you enter. Very nice vibe.

I make a habit of trying all the Mexican joint around me. This just opened so we had to try it. Food was decent but not spectacular and with so many other choices around here, I doubt we will return. As an aside, we happened to be there on a hot day and for some reason, the doors were open with no a/c but plenty of flies.

Extremely slow establishment. Took over 50 minutes to receive a simple burrito. Couldn't eat it due to having to head back to work. The establishment does not deserve any positive reviews moving forward. And for the high price to eat here, the service is complete atrocious.

FIRST TIME HERE AT TACOS ? EL JEFE. WANTED TO TRY 3 OF THEIR TACOS ?, SO TRIED EL PASTOR , IT WAS THE BOMB, VERY TENDER AND DELICIOUS, ALSO CARNITAS , WHICH ARE GOOD ALSO, AND CARNE ASADA WAS PRETTY GOOD. THEY DO NEED TO HAVE HOTTER SAUCES. CAUSE THE ONES WE GOT WERENT HOT AT ALL. CUCUMBERS AND CARROTS WERE GOOD. SAUCES WERE OK. BUT I LIKE HOT ?. JUST HAD TO GO BACK TODAY!!

Greeted happily. Fair prices. Very good food and a lot of it. Very clean. The cook's sing!! Nice TV's to watch while you chow down. Real good red salsa and the creamy jalapeno salsa.
Food sat very well with me all night. Happy tummy, happy life!
They are just getting started, give them a chance, give them a try. Be a little tolerant, they have a long road ahead of them and it takes a little while to knock off the rough edges and get in a groove. I can see they are trying, our meal was very good.
We will definitely be coming back.
