We came early for our reservation but it was not a problem for them. We were greeted very warmly and welcomed us in. We ordered drinks and cornbread, which was so delicious I could have made that my meal. One of our group ordered a unique gin and the bartender came to our table to tell us she didn't have it. She brought a sample of another brand for him to taste in case he would prefer that one. We thought that was very gracious and professional. We enjoyed our meals very much and especially the cast iron chocolate chip cookie!

We tried Norman with friends of ours. We were seated in a cute corner booth and were immediately asked if we needed anything while settling in. We started with cocktails, french fries and cornbread. All perfect and delicious. I have to say that the home made ranch dressing served with the fries was the best I had ever had-and I'm not a ranch dressing lover, but this was terrific. Being Tuesday, we ordered the tacos, each of us ordering a different kind so we could taste all three variations. Another ordered a hamburger. The fish tacos were the hands down favorite. The hamburger was also delicious. We finished with the cookie caramel ice cream dessert. Served hot in a tiny cast iron skillet, fantastic to share. We loved everything about our time at the Norman. I recommend it to everyone looking for a cool retro experience. Lots of fun-definitely go!

Our server was fantastic, but the menu has been cut in half and when we arrived at 6:45pm two items were already sold out. There was very little selection. There was also a barking dog institute the restaurant non stop. Not once did a manager or server tell her to bring the dog outside. It was baffling that this was allowed to continue on. It was a huge disappointment because we were there for a birthday dinner and it was a terrible experience. We had our appetizers and then left.

We have always enjoyed the ambiance and food. Unfortunately, during our most recent visit, we encountered some challenges that impacted our experience & will opt elsewhere in future! 1. **Limited Menu Options & Food Quality**: The menu seemed more limited than on previous visits, and the food quality was not up to the high standards we've come to expect for this restaurant in food/wine country . 2. **Dogs in the Dining Room**: While I am a huge dog and animal lover, I believe that allowing dogs in the indoor dining area can disrupt the ambiance. The two small dogs present during our visit barked every time the door opened, which was quite distracting and took away from the dining experience. Perhaps dogs could be restricted to the patio area instead. 3. **Slow Service**: There was only one bartender & 2 restaurant servers that also bused tables on a busy Saturday evening, which significantly slowed down service. While our server did a great job given the circumstances, the overall experience felt overwhelmed. I hope management takes notice & makes improvements

I was a bit hesitant about going to Norman's after reading some mixed reviews, but I'm so glad we decided to give it a try. When we arrived and parked at the bottom of the hill, we chose to forgo the cart and walk up, which turned out to be a lovely little trek. Upon arrival, we were immediately welcomed and seated at a charming table for two with the most comfortable chairs. Our server, Penelope, was delightful and took great care of us from the start. Our cocktails arrived quickly after we ordered, and the meal was equally impressive. The chicken in the Cavatelli Piccata was tender and juicy, making for a delicious dish. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience from beginning to end.

My partner and I went for lunch on a Sunday. There were a few other diners there; but most tables were empty. The menu was limited (<10 selections for the main course). The food was very good - we both had the burger. Like the Skyview Motel, the restaurant had a 1950's - 60's motel vibe. Service was very good and prompt. We'll return when the weather warms up and enjoy the food at the tables around the pool outside the restaurant.

We ate here on a Wednesday night in January. We had reservations but didn't need them. The table next to us had 2 locals, which is a good sign. There is bar seating. The best table in the house is a booth on the right as you enter. Seats 4 but 2 had it on our night. One of us had the beet and burrata salad with salmon and liked it. I had the pork spatzzle, which was tasty but dry and it had a hard crust - too much time under the warming lamps? Decent service. It was the Wednesday night 1/2 off the wine bottle price and we had the motel's $50 coupon. All in all, a good deal for a decent meal. Very convenient if you're staying at the motel, which is a wonderful place.

The food was fabulous. A dog friendly atmosphere will bring me and my friends back, over and over again

The restaurant is part of a motel built in the 50s....and the vibe as you walk past the rooms is totally that feel. The service is attentive and knowledgeable about the food. They have a good wine selection, which is important given the area's vineyards and quality wine options.

I ordered a cocktail at room temp, specified for it not to be shaken with any ice. It came ice cold as it was shaken over ice. When i bought it to our waitress attn. She came back and said they couldnt serve at room temp? I go to high end restaurants and the have no problem with serving it how I want. They did take it off the tab as i didnt drink it. My partner asked foe a martini shaken with ice and yhey served it over ice? We ordered two appetizers which were just okay. Quite a disappointing experience plus they had a very
large dog in the dinibg area(did
not appear to be a service dog) we love dogs but dont take to indoor restaurants. Not sure we will try it again.

The food was extremely delicious. My friend ordered the chicken achiote dinner plate and I ordered the Patty Pan Squash. The half baguette for an appetizer. The bread was perfectly crispy just like crusty bread should be. The main entree was fantastic. The chicken flavor was spot on and unbelievably tender. My veggies were cooked just right and had a great flavor. The food is a definite must try
