I have been to this restaurant four times so far. Everything has always been on point from the initial greeting to service and the incredible quality of food. Delicious Food. Service is good. I ordered many (to me) unknown dishes which were recommended. Dishes with interesting ingredients made it true food adventure. Located in the Japanese Association of Singapore which adds an extra dimension to it.

Akane is a pretty decent traditional Japanese restaurant. Lots of basic but tasty, standard Japanese fare, ranging from sushi to teishoku (bento boxes). I recommend the salmon skin salad and the hamachi kama (collar). The hamachi kama was cooked just right with light salt and lemon, so yummy. The kaki fry (fried oysters) were also decent as was the shishito pepper tempura. The chirashi bowl was just ok.
