Amber India used to maintain very good food quality. I am going back after 3-4 years and the food quality or the service was way below what I expected. There were hardly any customers too.
Food not super great for the cost. Service subpar, someone at our table asked for chilli pepper, the response was a very curt and rude no.
Food was so so, but expensive.

Back when I lived in the city, this was the place to go for out-of-this-world Indian food—and it still is. The new location hasn’t changed a thing: the customer service is warm and welcoming, the buttery naan and aromatic curries are bursting with flavor, and the cozy, friendly atmosphere makes you want to stay for hours. Absolutely worth every visit.

Not very easy to find this place as it's behind some bigger buildings
Sign on the main road can be very swiftly missed . Food is good, service was bit slow but overall nice place !

Visited this place again after a long time and was surprised to find it quite empty. One noticeable issue was the odd smell inside—possibly from non-veg dishes—which made the indoor seating area less appealing. An air freshener or better ventilation would definitely help.
The staff was friendly and courteous, which was a plus. The food itself was decent, but the portion sizes—especially for the appetizers—felt quite small for the high prices. The curry was okay, nothing particularly memorable or unique. Ambience also felt a bit dated and could use some updating to match the pricing. Overall, it’s a place with potential but needs some tweaks to feel truly worth the visit.

The menu has changed since I dined here a few years ago. I am not too fond of the new menu because my favorites such as the Goa fish curry, mushroom curry, fish pakora have been removed. Samosas are still good. I don't think.I will go back if the menu stays this way, considering the fact that this is one of the more expensive Indian restaurants.
Came here for a graduation event with family. Had a welcome drink, 3-4 apps, 4 entrees, daal, rice, and 2 desserts. All the food was very delicious and super flavorful. I usually find that there’s only a couple of items that are good and the rest are meh but I was surprised to find all of them were actually really good. Service was great.

The main course and desserts were amazing. The appetisers were average. They had variety of options for vegetarians. Their service was exceptional and staff were friendly and helpful. It made our father's day celebration special.

We stumbled across Amber India while in town for my nephew’s Stanford graduation, and wow—what a find! My mom, sister, and I had such a great dinner here. The food was chef’s kiss amazing—do yourself a favor and get the goat cheese naan. SO. GOOD. Like, we’re still talking about it.
Service was top notch—shout out to Salvador, who was super friendly and made sure everything was perfect.
The vibe was nice overall, though it got a little loud thanks to a few big groups around us (probably not the norm, just some celebratory energy in the air). Still, it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed it.
If you're in the area and craving delicious Indian food, Amber India is absolutely worth the stop!

We had an absolutely worst experience at Amber for Mother's day dinner. We have been going to Amber for over 20 years and never had faced any issues; food and service were always excellent. We were a large party and they had one person serving the whole patio, needless to say even getting water refills took 30 minutes, I guess when service charges are already included, service takes a hike. The dal takda was mushy and looked like it was leftover from their lunch buffet, butter chicken was bland, rogan josh had a smell, bhindi didn't have any flavor and breads were dry. We didn't make a fuss since it was Mother's day celebration but called back after couple of days to speak with the owner. The manager, Ravi, said that it is something that he will look into and will get back to us. Apparently they had a executive chef change but that shouldn't impact service or food quality. Needless to say, he didn't bother to respond after 2 weeks. Looks like when you are a popular restaurant, customer complaints don't matter!!
The food is great. Not too spicy. The Mother's Day lunch buffet was awesome. Extra items that they never have.
Love the ambience and taste of the food here!! But what I LOVE the most is the EXCELLENT customer service each and every time we come here!! - Today we were served very kindly by Salvador!! - Such a great guy that adhered to all our requests!! Salvador was excellent, professional, and made our day!! What a guy!!
We always enjoy dinner at Amber. The food is very good and portions generous. This evening, we were disappointed they did not have our favorite lamb roganjosh,,,,maybe because they had two parties in auxiliary rooms. The main dining room was also very noisy because of a large party of 20-25 people. The restaurant might think about installing sound baffles.
