Always an enjoyable meal. Good food reasonable noise level good service. Interesting fusion Indian dishes.
Food was aweful l, every dish we ordered tasted bad. Not sure what the hype is but was a bad idea to eat at the restaurant. We went for my wife's birthday party and were super disappointed l. Even the menu was uninspiring. After this I have decided to stay away from all Michelin recommended restaurants.
We chose this place for our anniversary dinner, but the experience was disappointing. For the price they charge, both the food and ambiance were below average. The service was unfriendly—no smiles, no greetings—and the drink options were very limited. The food lacked seasoning and flavor. The tables were placed so close to each other and the next table was so loud!!! Overall, it was not worth it, and we won't be returning.
The food at Aurum and the service are world class! Will return again and again...thank you for a wonderful dinner experience!
The food was good, not great. The service was excellent though. Wine by glass definitely didn't come from a fresh bottle. Seemed more like a week old. Should have asked.
Food was excellent but it was extremely noisy. Order arrived promptly. But front staff was not courteous. They had lots of open tables but forced us to sit on a table right middle because we had a 3 year old. He dropped the glass accidentally while cleaning the table next to us and shattered the glass on the floor. That is okay but he never bothered to turn and say anything to is - a simple sorry or just to say sorry to the kids and be carrful. Leter when guests arrived to that table, they found broek glass and asked to move to another table.
They put Michelin outside the restaurant. I thought it's Michelin star restaurant . Food is very average and expensive. Wouldn't go there again. Service is very good !
Unfortunately I was alone so I could only eat so much, but I got the butter chicken and it was fantastic. Moist chicken, just the right spice in the sauce, soooo good
Absolutely everything was delicious, complex, perfectly seasoned, perfectly textured....what a treat!
Well balanced, perfectly spiced Indian good. Loved their lamb biriyani, lamb curry and dhaba chicken. The grilled shrimp and lamb chop were good as starters, but will something else next time. The sticky toffee pudding was mildly interesting, but not a Ramsay level dish :-) will try their kulfi next time. Service was excellent (thanks Orlando!)

I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant—the paneer matar and daal makhani were both fantastic, and the stuffed kulcha was surprisingly great. The service, however, was a major downside. We had a 2 p.m. reservation, and as soon as we placed our first order, the server told us it would be the last one because the kitchen was closing. This completely defeated the purpose of a later reservation.
Amazing food and service. Variety and distinctiveness of dishes will have us returning very soon. Service is impeccable--efficient and friendly.
First time dining at Aurun and the food and flavour combinations were excellent, and they also offered a broad selection of innovative vegetarian options. We'll definitely become regulars here!
We loved the main course: okra & the kofta. The starters were okay. The paneer in the starters is not that good, tandoori prawn is really good. Reasonably priced as well. In 3 ppl, we paid 150 including 30$ tip. Would recommend.
I had a great experience dining at Aurum. I ordered the Mr. Potato, which was a fun and flavorful twist on the classic spiral potato. It was crispy, well-seasoned, and plated beautifully. The real standout though was the Mushroom Butter Chicken. Hands down the best butter chicken I've ever had. The puff pastry they serve it with is such a unique and smart touch. It elevated the whole dish. On top of that, the service was excellent: attentive, friendly, and efficient without being overbearing. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the Bay Area and want creative, well-executed Indian food.
