Pretty good: lunch special -- got busy quick
This is a great restaurant. The service was great.
Waiters very attentive.
One of the best Chinese restaurants.

There's a reason this place has been around for so long. The food is great, and at lunch, it's a surprisingly good bargain (relative to the area). While you could go with the standard Chinese-American dishes, I recommend the seafood.

The margins on this place must be INSANE. The tea is watered down, the $70 Peking duck (taken to the back to be cut) is presented with 1/3 - 1/2 the meat of the duck, and the dinner portion of beef with broccoli (and msg, corn starch, sugar, and oil) is about the size of an adult hand.
Chef Chu, with his signature dyed black hair, comes out waving and shaking hands like a Vegas impersonator while the waitstaff—all wearing rolexes (except for the bus boys)—interrupt your mediocre dinner to regale you with stories about the most recent celebrities who have dined here. I honestly have to respect the fact that Mr. Chu must be absolutely raking it in. There are worse people to bamboozle than Silicon Valley folks.
Having said all this, worth noting that George H.W. Bush must be absolutely ROLLING in his grave over the fact that his portrait is being used to promote this place. We’ve lived many places, but most recently DC, where the politics crowd shared with us that Bush’s favorite restaurant was famously a Peking duck spot in Falls Church, VA (very random) that is extremely popular in DC circles. We’ve been to that place many times, always enjoying the hundreds of photos of heads of state, government officials, and celebrities that adorn every inch of wall space. We came here because we loved the food there and have been missing it since moving out here for Stanford. Looks like we’ll have to make a trip back; will probably be more cost effective and satisfying than dining out here.

A staple in Los Altos, this family owned restaurant has been serving the area for decades now.
They have lunch specials that are the favorites, sometimes it's hard to choose what I like to have. Since my office is within walking distance, I will call ahead and pick up, they are quick.
Although a tip, Friday lunches, eat in tends to fill up, so definitely call to make a reservation.
One time our team had a private room for a celebration, so we could order more of the more "authentic" dishes. All were delicious!
When the owner is there, he will go around greeting customers. I find that's one of the best practices of a family owned establishment.

The food at this Chinese restaurant is consistently excellent, but parking can be a challenge. Even with an additional parking lot just a 3-minute walk away, spaces fill up quickly. If you're planning to go during busy weekend hours, it's best to avoid it if you're really hungry—finding a spot can be stressful!

The environment is pretty good and the service is pretty good, but it’s an American-style Chinese food. If you’re looking for domestic Chinese food, you might not get it right.

I had moved away for 23 years and returned for a visit in 2019. This was one of my favorite restaurants in the early days. But I have to say after being away for so long and visiting the restaurant, I was shocked that there was no upgrade to the place and the womans restroom was quite dirty. Was so disappointed. Food was just okay but the atmosphere was dingy.

We got this place recommended by a colleague who already went there.
When we arrived we had to wait 15 minutes until they had a table ready for us, which is quite good.
We ordered a plate variety for three persons with soup and dessert.
The food arrived quick and the servers did their job pretty well.
Unfortunately the prawns were cold and were not tasting good.
The rest of the food was great tho.
I would still recommend going here.

I married a Chinese woman and recently went on the ultimate “meet the parents” adventure in China.
After experiencing real Chinese food firsthand, I can confidently say this restaurant is the closest thing to boarding a flight to Beijing without having to deal with TSA. My wife, a certified expert in all things delicious, comes here whenever she’s feeling homesick. And let me tell you, it’s the cure for homesickness—and my endless cravings.
Food: Mouthwatering. Every bite tastes like a love letter from China.
Service: So fast and friendly, I’m convinced they’re secretly using magic.
Atmosphere: Open, airy, and cozy enough that I could move in if they’d let me.
Highly recommended—bring your appetite, no passport needed.
