Absolutely atrocious from beginning to end. The service was beyond unacceptable, and Benjamin, who claimed to be the manager, was openly offensive, hostile, and completely indifferent to our situation. His conduct alone guarantees that I will never step foot in this establishment again.
The food was bland, uninspired, and outrageously overpriced. At these prices, a Michelin-caliber meal is the bare minimum expectation, yet what we received was nowhere close to that standard.
The atmosphere was disturbing and deeply uncomfortable. Three specific waiters behaved inappropriately, repeatedly staring at my wife and the three young women seated next to us. It was blatant, unsettling, and entirely unprofessional, turning what should have been a pleasant evening into an awkward and tense experience.
The staff as a whole was rude and dismissive, but the most appalling part of the night was Benjamin’s behavior. He used vulgar language toward my wife and me. There is no excuse, explanation, or “backstory” that could ever justify that. Under no circumstances should any employee—especially someone claiming to be a manager—speak to guests that way. Ever.
This was an unacceptable, disrespectful, and shocking experience that left a lasting negative impression. I will certainly not be returning, and I strongly warn others to be aware of the service, staff, and management before dining here.

As locals we’ve been to the Grill many times and usually the food and service is pretty solid. But last week we were there with family during lunch time and I won’t be back after how rudely we were treated. We had a reservation for 5 people and I was the sixth person. The server informed us when we were all seated that they had a 5 person limit at the table and I replied that I was not eating as I had to leave for an appointment. They brought our drinks then disappeared. After like 15 min I finally got up to ask the server to take our order since everyone was hungry. He then came over to our table to say he was told he couldn’t take our order since there were 6 of us at the table. I walked out so everyone else could order but Seriously? Were they just going to sit there and refuse to serve us? Lame!

A consistently high quality meal with outstanding service. There’s a reason it’s always packed.

We used to frequent this establishment over 10 years ago and stopped in for dinner. Yesterday. I had the flank steak with chimchuri sauce and french fries and bell peppers with goat cheese. It was fantastic and cooked perfectly.
My husband had the classic prime rib French dip and he said it was delicious.
They had a lovely wine list, although I wish there were more choices by the glass. They have a nice cocktail menu too.
It's a very darkly lit atmosphere, but the lighting is perfect and the place feels warm and cozy. Super fun to sit near the kitchen and watch the chefs.
We will definitely be back!

Los Altos Grill was a nice spot! It was pretty busy when we went, maybe because it was a Saturday. We got the French dip, and it was really good – huge portion too. Parking was easy thanks to the nearby lots. The atmosphere was pretty upscale, dim lighting and a lively bar area. I think they could maybe offer a smaller fries option, but overall, a solid experience.

We went there Saturday night. The place was packed, reservation is recommended. We had flat iron steak which was very well cooked and delicious but a little cold. Their French dip was very tasty and highly recommended. Chicken meatballs had too much sauce but were delicious. Service and ambience were great.

Cons: expo person was very loud and obnoxious and in the dining area. horseradish cream sauce not enough kick, desserts skipped due to seeming blasé, prices a bit on the high side for the type of food, server gave us tiny water glasses which needed frequent refilling.
Pros: excellent food, tender meat on the french dip, au jus very tasty, trout cooked perfectly, flaky and moist, perfect seasoning amount. French fries were warm and crispy, though a bit under seasoned for my taste

The best prime rib dip sandwich you will ever have. All of the food is amazing but that is my go to every time.

THE place to go for F&B in downtown Los Altos! Menu is somewhat limited if you want to eat healthy options...I mean seriously, this is California. Great service, really great people watching. A little loud so don't expect to hear your dinner parties conversation.

Not the place it used to be. Bring back the classics...especially the bone in prime rib.

After coming here for 6 years, I was asked to leave tonight. Apparently these flip flops are okay, but my $200 designer sandals from Nordstroms are not…
