After coming here for 6 years, I was asked to leave tonight. Apparently these flip flops are okay, but my $200 designer sandals from Nordstroms are not…

This place is always hopping with a great vibe. Good cocktails, simple, delicious food, and agreeable service. Reservations a must. Great place for a simple straight forward meal. Servings are generous. If in season, the artichoke is a must-order.

My friend ordered the fish sandwich while I requested the prime rib sandwich. We had high expectations for the prime rib sandwich but it was a disappointment 😞 no flavor and lack texture... the dipping sauce saved it a bit but not much...

Excellent food in a great atmosphere. The ribs were the highlight of the dinner along with the ribeye special. Great bar very good to eat at. Very comfortable seating with lots of booths. Definitely will be back.

We had a disappointing lunch at Los Altos Grill on 8/8. We ordered the corn bread bites (meh), starter salad (good), fries, french dip (good) and crispy chicken sandwich (bad) which came out to $85.

You can skip the corn bread bites. Nothing special and there were also quite a few in the starter salad. The french dip as good, albeit smaller than I remember from the last time I was there. The crispy chicken sandwich was a huge let down. Not only was it not good, the coating completely came apart with every bite. You'll get a better chicken sandwich at a Lazy Dog or Chik-Fil-A.

All in a all, the food was underwhelming and disappointing. Server and atmosphere was great.

Review for lunchtime -
Cute little old school charm.
Waiters are all super nice (although my dining mate had to ask for refills thrice…) and the food is sooo yummy. However, no substitutions at lunch time kind of was a buzz kill. The macho salad is one of the best salads out there but in 2025 I’d expect being able to sub out the chicken for another protein instead of just removing the protein all together (especially when there’s shrimp and tuna salad on same menu).

Would I be back - yes for the corn bread alone.

PS - nothing against LAG but the Parking lot was a bit hectic and narrow and drivers stopping in front of the place don’t seem to pay attention to pedestrians

Have been dining at the location for 10 years, and this is my first terrible experience. Have family visiting outside of the country and excited to take them to LAG. We have a party of 6 and called to make a reservation. Was told they can’t make a reservation because they only have two big tables so it’s first come first serve. We specifically came early at 5pm before the rush hour so have the best chance of getting the big tables.

When checked in, the host told us that they can’t never serve party of 6!! What?!! Why can you communicated that over the phone before we drove 30 mins to the restaurant? We were left without any dinner plans for a big party. This is a terrible experience.

Came to try out the French Dip, but something about it just didn't jive with my taste buds. There was some seasoning or flavor I couldn't place but it really didn't work for me. For $50 with a coke, fries, & a tip, I hoped for more.

Great service and ambiance. I'll come try dinner here at some point and update the review.

Los Altos Grill has always been tasty. Parking fairly easy in the adjacent muni lots, greeted immediately upon entry and customarily order a cocktail while you wait a few mins. The place is 25% sit down bar where you can enjoy the full menu while partaking in the hub bub of Los Altos. It has the comfort of a local restaurant with the upscale dim lighting, open kitchen feel of a date night win. There’s some house specialty cocktails, and a simple wine list. Food menu hasn’t changed much over the year but you’ve got some solid choices-French dip, rib eye, burgers and more. This night I had the French dip which is one of my favorites and delicious. The wife had the rib eye and it was cooked to proper temp, tender and delish. Both meals came with amazing French fries and fry seasoning. Yum! For desert, I was torn between the Oreo cookie ice cream sandwich or the hot fudge sundae-tonight the Oreo sandwich won (see pic). On our latest visit (7/25) It seemed we were being rushed to order, eat and adios, which I thought was a little peculiar based upon the occupancy but our server (Lexi) was attentive during our date night. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. Another great experience at Los Altos Grill. Make reservations on their website.
