Fantastic service from Scott with our large party. The entertainment, drinks, and environment was very welcoming at our company party over the weekend.
Awesome and consistent food. Service and attention to detail still there! Suck a great timeless gem.
This place was good but now it’s bad
We had lunch to celebrate Father’s Day. Service was slow probably due to the occasion. The French Dip was very very delicious. You got to try the smoked salmon! I have had smoked salmon before. But it’s the best of the best since I had it the first time in 1985.
We had a light meal at the bar. Food was okay, almost as good as what we were given in staff canteens in the UK while I worked in hospitality.
Apologies if I didn't spell his name correctly, but our bartender, Tyler, is one of the nicest bartenders I have been served to by in the US. Kind, warm, humble, tactful, diplomatic, and very polite, but also non pretentious and very genuine and sincere and that is so refreshing. He really paid attention and read my mood very well, and that is really quite rare, especially in the US. Very talented bartender with great potential. Perhaps the drinks were not the best, but I think the restaurant specs may need a little tweak. Paloma does not work very well straight up... Here is my recipe for one of the drinks we had.
60 ml of tequila (I use Patron, Lalo, or Mijenta)
10-15 ml FRESH lime juice ( not fresh from the bottle)
30 ml pink grapefruit juice ( freshly squeezed)
10 ml blue Agave (Real brand)
Pink grapefruit soda by London essence
Method:
Chill the shaker, pour ingredients in the smaller part, stir, discard any water from the larger part, and shake for 20- 25 seconds, using the three steps and be sure to smile. (Salvatore Calabrese explains the three steps method very well). Strain over ice in a highball glass filled with DRY ice (the most important ingredient in any cocktail) and top up with grapefruit soda. Always taste the soda before using it, as in the US, they can be extremely sweet and filled with all sorts of chemicals, and this can ruin the drink and disappoint guests who are more familiar with the drink
This process takes around 52 seconds, well under a minute. Cheers!
Los Altos Grill is a true gem for those who appreciate high-quality steak and ribs. The steak is cooked to perfection, delivering a tender, juicy bite packed with rich, smoky flavor that leaves a lasting impression. The ribs, however, steal the show. They’re fall-off-the-bone tender, with a perfectly balanced glaze that’s both savory and slightly sweet, making each bite a delight. These dishes alone make the restaurant worth a visit, but there’s so much more to love.
The friendly and attentive staff elevate the experience even further. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and professionalism that makes you feel right at home. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular, the team ensures that every need is met with a smile, enhancing the overall ambiance of the restaurant.
With its inviting atmosphere, consistently excellent food, and exceptional service, Los Altos Grill is a standout dining destination. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply treating yourself to a great meal, this spot is sure to exceed expectations. I’ll definitely be back to savor the incredible steak and ribs again!

The sirloin steak was fabulous! I do wish they’d put the ribeye back on the menu, though as it was even better. I go there twice a year and always look forward to it.

Went here for dinner tonight with friends. The food was in fact very good. However, the management was very unaccommodating with seating arrangements for our party. In addition, I ran into friends and wanted to visit with them for a few minutes at their table. I was told I had to go and sit down at my table like I was in 3rd grade. This is not the way to make your customers feel welcome and spend money. Maybe they should take a page from the Ritz Carlton or Nordstrom training manual.

I love this place, the bartenders and staff are wonderful. Food is very “comfort””. Chicken, beef, salmon, and salads are all excellent. However my favorite off menu item the “cluck-a-moo”, ribs and chicken combo has been taken off the menu. Our waitress said it was new management decision. I’m devastated. BRING IT BACK!!!!!

Best sandwich of my life. For years I have made it a point to come here and get the prime rib au jus whenever I am in town from Texas, and this most recent visit was no exception. Piled high with shaved prime rib on the fluffiest fresh baked bread a homemade horseradish sauce and broth that's been cooked to perfection over hours, it's unmatched. The rest of the food is good too. The deviled eggs have a sweet and tangy vibe and if they are in season the grilled artichokes are always wonderful with fantastic sauce. It's super cozy inside with a lovely corner fireplace for when it's chilly. Everyone working is so helpful and everyone chips in and is so attentive regardless of who is your specific server.

We loved the food, but the service was so frustrating that we just couldn't enjoy it. This is our third time at this place, and at this point, it feels like they're making you wait intentionally to give the impression that the restaurant is in high demand. What's the point of making a reservation if I have to wait an additional 20 minutes when I arrive (2-3 minutes before my reservation)? This has happened three separate times in the past 2 years!
The food was great, but it was hard to enjoy after we got so annoyed—not just by the wait, but by the feeling that it was done maliciously.
Also, why do customers who ask for "just 2-3 minutes" end up waiting 15-20 minutes to get a waiter’s attention, even after several attempts?
This reservation was on a regular weekday.
