I was so disappointed. As my friend put it "it's just not good". The wine was terrible. The merlot tasted sour. The cab was just bad. At $15 starting point per glass it was such a let down. The system is a waste of time - order at one end and pay at the other, then go back to pick up your wine. I asked for water and was told there is none - unless I want to buy a bottle. The lady working was not nice and snippy. She didn't seem happy to be there. I do not recommend.

I frequent Los Altos Tasting room regularly. It is a nice, relaxing place to go to after a hard day at work. The wine is excellent, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable especially Theo and Vince. Many times the owner, Benny, is there and will give you his insight on the different wines he is producing. I highly recommend this establishment.

Fantastic place to do a tasting of local wines at a great price ($17/3 2-oz flight with generous pours.) Bradley was there the time we went and he explained the wines and was super accommodating!! Would definitely return for a casual date night or a hang out with friends. They aren’t very busy right now, probably due to covid. They have different wines each month.

Tasting rooms do not get much better in Silicon Valley than here. This is a downtown Los Altos outpost for Byington Vineyards and Winery, which has estates in the Santa Cruz Mountains and Alexander Valley. They sell wine by the bottle, glass, and flight. It’s a great place to come in the afternoon for some remote work, to catch up with friends, or to enjoy wine on the evening. The selection is outstanding! Pinot, Chardonnay, Cabernet, sparkling, Sauvignon Blanc, and more than 20 wines more! This is a TRUE HIDDEN GEM.

Define hidden gem. Now put that gem right where no one would ever expect to find it: downtown Los Altos Main Street right across from a very popular American comfort cuisine restaurant and next to a shoe store specializing in runner's apparel and equipage. Add in some of the best California estate wines from not one but two premier growing regions that - importantly - are not Napa. The Santa Cruz Mountains and the award-winning higher elevation slopes of the Alexander Valley in Sonoma County. Pinot. Organic estate Pinot. Sparkling brut rosé Pinot. Late harvest dessert Pinot. Cabernet. Merlot. Cab Franc. Petit Verdot. As single varietals and blended and barrel aged to perfection. Blanc de Blanc estate Chardonnay. Stainless steel fermented Chardonnay and barrel fermented estate Chardonnay from Alexander Valley. Sangiovese and Barbera from the Sierra Foothills. Syrah. Grenache. Viognier. Sauvignon Blanc. Native yeast fermentation. Artisan methods inspired by the Old World winemaking masters. And all of this is smack dab in the middle of Silicon Valley mere miles (or meters) from Google, Facebook, and Apple headquarters. I know. It's like your birthday came early this year, twice. Byington wines are like that: gifts from the mountains that keep on giving. The Post can have their crowds. The cool cats hang out at Los Altos tasting room instead. Stop by and see what the hype is all about. It's as if the movie, "Sideways" never happened. Here, top notch estate Pinot and Merlot are the best of friends, forever. So should it always be. And there is always great bubbly in abundance, just in case you can't decide.

Executive Assistant here. This place was great to work with. They had been having issues with their phone system, so don't give up on them. I had a party of 10 Executives going to dinner down the street and they wanted to go to a wine bar/tasting room first. This one came up on my search, and they all loved it. Very accommodating and wonderful communication. My Executives all raved about the wines and the level of service they received.
