A favorite celebration spot for our family. The food is delicious . I love the spinach salad and spaghetti carbonara. The chef is wonderful. The servers are kind and attentive. Love this restaurant!
Amazing food and great atmosphere! The pasta was fresh and full of flavor, and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back.

I ate there about two years ago and had a great experience! I took my friends, who came out of state, to dine into a small town Italian restaurant and I was soo disappointed. Food was soo bland! It was soo embarassing! My pasta needed so much salt! My friend's teenage son was complaining how bland is food was...Service was moderately good but food was not. I hope they look into it...
Love Pompei! Nice, friendly folks with a ready warm smile; excellent and very consistent food.
Pompeii is a wonderful family-owned gem in Los Altos. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the food absolutely delicious. The chicken parmesan, lasagna, and linguine are some of our favs, paired with their fresh homemade bread. You can really taste the care that goes into everything!

Food: The salad is a bit too salty but the seasoning tasted so good! The pastas are also cooked nicely at al dente! The portion is very filling. One little pettiness is the seasoning of the linguine scampi. The flavors are not cooked into the shrimps which make it a bit less enjoyful while dining.
Service: the staff is nice but it seems like the time we visit is almost their closing time or it was a down time in the town, so they didn’t really put too much of attention to our table, which is a good and bad thing. We got to have some nice time without being interrupted.
Ambiance: nice and clean, suitable for small family gathering or dating.

The food is just wonderful, and the service is perfect. We are so fortunate to have in our community!
Probably our most visited restaurant. Their bread and its dipping sauce is very special and probably the best of the kind. It's free and refillable. The size is big, most entry is enough for two. My recommendation would be the steak, and the garlic spaghetti (sorry, I don't speak Italian). The service and the environment is also very comfortable. The only thing we don't like is the cellphone signal, but well, maybe a good thing to enjoy the meal.

We dined at Pompeii on a First Friday in Los Altos. We were seated promptly despite it being quite busy. We were quickly served bread and water. Our server was courteous and efficient. to The clam chowder and all of the dishes were delicious. Calzone, spaghetti Bolognese, the fish special, and the pork chop were all pronounced fabulous by the diners! The calzone and the spaghetti were large portion, and we love leftovers. It was our first time at Pompeii, but we'll be back!
We had a great dinner and even with the very busy Festival of Light parade, they did a great job. The lasagna was excellent as were the ravioli with pesto cream.

Very loud. Could hardly talk as we had a birthday party next to us and at another table was a family with two very loud children. I specifically asked for a quiet table. A bit disappointing.
Excellent Italian food. Fully, but not over, priced. Service consisted of two seasoned people, but attentiveness was spotty at best. We will definitely return.
When we're in Palo Alto we very often eat here. The food is always delicious and service is always good.
We had a group of 8, and we got a great table in the side room, which was pretty quiet. Service was great except they started asking if we wanted to take home leftovers while some of us were still eating. Just a pet peeve of mine. Wait until everyone is done before clearing plates or offering boxes. The food is always excellent and they always get the orders correct, even with modifications.
We sat outside at a table for 2, and the air was cool but not cold. We ordered the salmon appetizer, as known in Scandinavia, very good and surprising on an Italian restaurant menu. We shared the entree of pasta with mixed seafood, that was very generous in quantity and very tasty. It was a bit peppery, and next time we'd ask to make it a little softer. We are returning diners for more than 10 years. stan
