Got a 3-item lunch special bento with beef teriyaki, tonkatsu and assorted tempura. Nothing to complain about. The flavours were there and the portion was great.
The employees are super friendly and it looks like most people who come here are regulars. It was super cute seeing everyone acknowledging each other.
Food's not going to blow you away, but if you want a solid, safe lunch, this is the place to go!
I think it's good to be able to eat a lunch box for this price considering the location. They also serve brown rice tea for free. I had the lunch bento box with a choice of 2 sides, $17.50. You can choose sushi rolls or nigiri sushi on the side, but there's plenty of white rice, so I personally recommend choosing a side dish. Personally, I'm concerned about the quality of the white rice. There's nothing wrong with vinegared rice, but that white rice is a no-no in Japanese food. The female staff member was very kind and managed the whole thing by herself. I think there was one craftsman who seemed to be Japanese.

I was trying to go to this place for a week or two, when I finally did it I couldn't go any fatter than the front door because they were already close. On the website say that they closed at 8:30 pm. When I got there it was 7:45 pm, and then this guy came to us and said they close at 8:00 pm. Okay well but it is not 8:00 pm yet. All I saw was the guy working in the kitchen saying something to him as he was going by. I'm wondering if he actually ran out of food or he just didn't like my Afro style hair cut. However it's not the first time I have come to a Japanese place and I got a "sub-service" that has been said you know what to expect from Sushiko...
