Classic local diner! Loved meeting the owner, Julia, and learning about the history of this great spot. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was homey. The patio out back is lovely too.

A nice neighborhood breakfast place. I wanted something homey and this fit the bill. We were greeted at the door and they arranged a table for 5. We requested coffee and after a little while, we ordered food. We ordered an eggs benedict, eggs with ham and bread, blueberry pancakes and corned beef hash with eggs, with side of hashbrowns. We all liked the hash browns, it was crispy. The other food was fine and we filled up. Service was nice and they checked when we needed coffee refills.

I love it here! Julie has been serving us 20+ years of chocolate chip pancakes. Somehow they keep getting better. This place is delicious, cozy, authentic and maybe the best diner in the bay. Great for breakfast and lunch. Bring your friends, kids and acquaintances. I can’t wait to come back and hope this place becomes a institution for your family like it has for mine!

I've been here five times now and today was the last time. The last four visits orders were messed up and gaslighted to believe it was my mistake. Today my order came out and I was told I shouldn't have eaten it because it was for another table.I kept coming back because the hash browns were decent. If you do go here just don't get eggs unless you like rubber.

This place feels like going back home for a meal cooked with love. It isn’t fancy but it’s delicious and comforting. Julie has been running this place for more than 25 years, and she is a saint!! She greets every customer with a smile, and remembers her regulars’ favorite orders. I’ve even seen her take food to people’s homes when they’re not feeling well. I always leave here feeling full, happy and grateful. It’s like a boost of positive karma to carry you thru the rest of your day. I encourage you to come experience the magic for yourself. Julie supports everybody in the community. Let’s show our support, too, so she can keep the magic going!

Worst server ever! Older Asian lady was the only server today, serving the whole patio. I can understand that when it is busy, you might feel overwhelmed trying to serve the tables. But she was yelling us and rushing us when ordering food. It was like a mother punishing her child.Very unacceptable behavior. She wasn't that rude to the other tables (small patio, you can observe what is going on). 2 of my friends were wearing hijab, we felt very discriminated. We warned her about her attitude when paying our bill. All she did was giving us a cold smile and a simple "sorry"!!!

This is a great place to eat. The food is terrific and the staff is efficient and friendly. Julie takes good care of all her customers. The food is well prepared and very tasty. The fruit you get for a side is always fresh and sweet. The Village Pantry is now part of my weekly routine and I do look forward to my next meal there. Just a note, the Village Pantry only accepts cash or Venmo. I recommend you build you own omelette or try the wheat pancakes.

My friend and I had a delicious brunch here. Their fruit bowl was perfect and organic. The hash browns were wonderful as they were made from scratch. Most breakfast places use frozen hash browns.

This place has been in los Altos downtown forever. We stopped by because my fiancé was in the mood for breakfast. He ordered the chicken fried steak and he thought it was just okay. He thought it tasted like something from Costco. I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict. The menu said it was smoked salmon but it turned out to be hot smoked salmon. Service is very courteous but the food is just okay. Items were also kind of expensive
