I wanted 2 Souls Cakes, one without rice. The Owner Kim was rather rude!! He exact response “We don’t make changes to that”!! I responded I can’t have 1 without rice?? I just had a tooth removed yesterday, so the soul cake would be perfect for my situation. And the answer was no?? I still got my husbands order!! But I’m mad at myself cause I paid to be mistreated. Yes we all have bad days, and no I don’t know what the owner Kim is going through today 1/28/26 but Ms. Kim has been rude or nasty several times. I try to support black owned businesses but 5 Star Kitchen, I’m done. I’m gonna miss the food but not the nasty bad attitude owner Ms. Kim.

The lady that take your order over charges so make sure you add up your total. I bought a turkey burger at $12-$13, I gave her a $20 and she gave me 75c back. I asked what was the extra charge she said taxes. She lied! To avoid a argument I left it alone and valued not to ever go there again. I believe she treat the ladys with a nice body differently then she do anyone else. Jealousy at its best!

The owner is a very nice respectful lady gives auntie vibes, when you walk into an establishment you should treat people with respect if you want it in return the food was great the koolaid was great. Much love from Texas I’ll be back

Owner Kim had a terrible nasty attitude towards me for no reason back when I went. Ironically enough I go on Instagram and saw her leaving some homophobic posts completely unprovoked.
I dont wish this business well with her at the helm.

I decided to drive from Hollywood to eat from this plc today and boy oh boy I regret it. The cashier a light skin girl was great/ polite, but the boss lady what an awful attitude! I got my order and an item was missing I sent my son to go tell them and the owner told him you got everything you order he said no and she kept telling him go look again so I went in and explained to to her what I did get and she insisted I got everything I ordered arguing with me then gone say “give her it (missing item)I’m not bout to argue with her”. Like wow that attitude is unbelievable. Never will I go back

I'm sorry their food is good but the girl whose a cashier comes off pretty rude. She gave me a rude face when I walked in as if I shouldnt be coming in PRIOR to their closing time (and come to think about it, she never has a welcoming vibe when I come in, only to people she knows and that's awful). Not a greeting not anything, just telling me what theyre NOT going to sell.. excuse me? I believe Kim is her name but telling a customer you're only selling certain items because you're 'about' to close it Ludacris and a bad move for the business owner. You're not closed so take the order and the business.. it's hard supporting our own people when their stipulations is wild. People go elsewhere because they keep the customer in mind.. only selling a limited menu prior to you closing is not cool, especially if it is not advertised this way. If you're sold out of items, that's cool, but if you're not and reasoning is because of closing time and you're not closed.... again, bad business. Pray them the best but I can't support a business that doesn't even honor their own closing times, what they advertised, on top of, keeping someone, whose the face of their business because she takes orders, that's rude and can't control her facial expressions or tone. Check her or remove her or continue losing business which ain't none of my business, but maybe you shouldn't have a business cause you can't make a simple decision that'll change volumes in how customers see your business and want to support. She's rude and clearly doesn't care about it which would make me think why have her here if she's not sharing in the vision you have? Unless you don't care about customer service but that would be hard to believe as I have found you to be quite sweet. Math ain't mathing ??♀️
