Finding 715 Sushi already feels like part of the experience. You wait outside a gated wall, slightly unsure if you’re in the right place.

The omakase itself is incredibly. Every piece was fresh out and balanced. What stood out to me most was the rice, seasoned with a blend of soy sauce and rice vinegar rather than just vinegar alone. It gave the nigiri a more savory backbone. Nothing tasted rushed or careless; each bite felt deliberate.
The dish I haven’t stopped thinking about was the chestnut egg dish (likely kuri tamago). It was absolutely stunning! Soft, subtly sweet, and nutty. The flavor balance was beautiful and unexpected, and it ended up being the most memorable bite of the night for me.

Service was attentive when it came to refilling drinks and tea. The staffs were polite and accommodating. This experience was very thoughtful, refined, and well worth the drive.

Overall my wife and I really enjoyed the dinner. There were 20 dishes the night we went. The chef isn’t very talkative with English speakers but he did seem to talk with Japanese speaking guests quite a bit. My only complaint is the servers should not be wearing a mask. It is very difficult to hear them when they describe the food. My wife and I probably missed 25% of what they said. My suggestion to the chef would be to interact with the English speaking guest more.

One of the best Omakase experiences in LA! Small and quaint sushi bar with small details that accents the chef's personality. The sushi and small bites were fantastic! The meal had a great flow and good variety of fish and preparations. If you're looking for a great restaurant for a special occasion or you just want to treat yourself and you love Omakase this is a restaurant for you. Make sure to make reservations!

Disappointing compared to other high-end restaurants in LA and omakase experiences in Japan. We spent $1200 for 2 pax, inc. drinks, so had pretty high expectations.

We arrived on time for our reservation but had to wait 20 - 25 mins before they served the first course. Couldn't the chef prep beforehand given that it's a preset course?

The chef did not offer any commentary on the dishes and stayed silent throughout the service, which is unusual for omakases (at least in our experience).

The food was meh for $1200. Save your money, really. My biggest restaurant regret in LA so far.

Been to many omakase in different countries this one by far the worst. Save your time and money.
U want proper omakase just go to japan. Omakase in the states is just leeching of your ignorance and obliviousness to japanese cuisine. You folks wont know regardless

4.6/5. Courses were amazing. Great to watch chef work. More traditional in atmosphere. Staff very accommodating. On the expensive end, verging on overpriced. Ever changing menu.

I am Korean and have been to many sushi, tempura, and omakase restaurants in Sapporo.
It's good here. It's good, but it's really crappy. It's no exaggeration to say that it's salt sushi. When Koreans go, please ask for a little less seasoning. Otherwise, you'll feel like you're eating from a soy sauce container.
And it's so, so, so cold. I'm not a neta, but I go to Michelin and pay $500, so I can't help but wonder why I'm shivering from the cold. And when I hold the nigiri, I don't know if it's a habit, but every time I hold it, I take a small amount of rice... a little bit from the nigiri. It feels a bit like an amateur. The fact that there were a lot of tsumami made was enough to give that feeling.
And the chef speaks a little Korean.
This business could get better if they just don't use Chrome Hearts chopsticks and show a little more consideration for their customers. The food was good, and except for the saltiness, the sushi and neta were good.

Let's try the sushi we met in Los Angeles!
(Topic... Grunt? I forget what it was.) It was innovative, but the balance with the sweet shari was excellent. Overall it was delicious.

The staff and the chef were very welcoming. The quality of the fish was excellent. The chef is an artist at work. It is certainly an exceptional restaurant well deserving of it's star. If you don't know the chefs name, just remember the numbers, 715.
