This is my third visit to Abernethy's during Chef DeSpain's time at the restaurant. I have enjoyed all three visits. Today I ordered the guacamole which is my favorite. Next I ordered chilaquiles with the green sauce. I found I prefer the red sauce but the entree was still enjoyable. Since today is her last day I look forward to the next chef.
We have been attempting frequent Abernathy‘s whenever we are at the Mark taper, the Dorothy Chandler or the Amundsen. This has been the best experience. Actually, one time we had our entire meal comped because the food took so long to get out so I'm very happy that this was a good experience for us and I'm looking forward to the new chef
Have eaten here several times before the theater and concerts and have enjoyed the food, service, and the ambience. One little problem is that the dessert, a chocolate cake, was a little dry, but other than that, our experience was quite positive.
