Me and a friend tried this place back in February. It was our first time trying African Cuisine. I had the Egusi soup with Chicken and she had the jollof rice with goat meat and the Esiro soup. Although the egusi soup wasn't spicy it was still decent- I didn't like the chicken in it - the chicken was bland and lacked any taste - it didn't soak up any flavors in the soup. The next time I will try it with smoked turkey if the offer it and see if a little spice could be added. The fufu itself smells like mashed potatoes and I enjoyed it with the elusive soup. The Eairo soup was much more flavorful. It was very busy that day and it took nearly an hour for our order to be completed. We didn't mind because ita posted all over the restaurant and its made to order. The two starts are because the goatee was gross - it was very chewy and tough - we wound up throwing it away. And instead of jollof rice, my friend was given white rice. The plantains were also lack luster. I dont know if the young girl who took my order got it wrong, but she was not very helpful and seemed to be slightly irritated. I will most likely try different place the next time I want to try african cuisone again - just as a comparison

Aduke needs to work on telephone etiquette of her employees. They are the worst when it come to ordering. However, their foods are the best in the Los Angeles area. Thanks.

I love it...the jollof rice was moist and tasty. Apart from my favorite Nigerian restaurant in North California, Ruth Buka, this is hands down my next favorite

Absolutely amazing food. You should disregard any complaints about the timing here because it's explicitly stated all around the restaurant. The food was well worth the wait. The food taste authentic and prepared with love and experience. The meals are prepared to order, so that guarantees freshness. I will be back!

I love this place. Its in kind of an unassuming strip mall which is a little hard to find, but that's no matter for me. The red stew and plantains are our favorites and as a husband to a West African woman, this is as close to mom's cooking we have found.

Very good and tasty- i couldn't stop eating it. very large portions! the egusi stew is kind of basic, i prefered the jollof rice. make sure to order ahead because they take forever. Took a star off because customer service is very lack luster. no smiles, no greeting, no nothing. I even tipped on my togo order and couldn't get a smile or thank you from the worker at the counter. Overall nice experience.

First, I will say that the food was good. The meat pie was tasty. The rice and stew was good but the service was poor. We spent about 100 dollars worth of food and they did not have what we wanted. When we first arrived I asked what they had. The hostess said they had everything only to find out they had no pounded yam and only had amala instead. I am only giving 4 stars because the food is objectively good.

Look I had high hopes for for the food. I ordered three separate items. Amala/Ewedu, moi moi and ogbono soup. No amala was given even though I specifically requested it twice- they replaced it with pounded yam I'm sure (strike one). Strike 2 was serving ogbono soup that was salty instead of flavorful.... I know good food when I taste it and that was trash. Strike three was asking specifically for goat meat in the ewedu and yet I was digging through and eating beef with fried fish that I'm sure was just thrown in there last minute. There's low effort food then there's the trash I was served. Consider ordering elsewhere.

We placed an order at 11:52 am, they told us it would be ready by 12:30 pm. We get there no one was at the counter, after a long wait the man at told us to come back in 5 mins. At 12:50 pm the food still was not ready. We left but this is very unprofessional. If I could give them zero stars I would. Wasted my time.

Tried this spot last week, we traveled 35min from My home town after we saw some images on instagram of the dishes they prepare, well'p, never had Nigerian before, I must say we weren't disappointed, a bit spice LOL but nonetheless very delicious, I had snail sine I've never had it before and plantains with their delicious rice, the rice has some sort if smokey flavor, very delicious I dont remember the names of the dishes we ordered but here are some pictures we tool of our order, they're are open for take out, we ate in our car since we weren't about to drive all the way home lol, last but definitely not least, the service was prompt as best as possible since they are busy and dealing with in person orders, phone orders and dealing with covid restrictions, staff was polite and knowledgeable and was patient with our questions about the menu items. We'll definitely be back.

I stopped by about a month ago and I've never looked back. My favorite is the Egushi Stew. It tastes so delicious. The staff is very friendly and polite. I'd surely recommend.

Part 1. The customer service was great. The short fro hair lady was pleasant to talk to. She gave good recommendations and an overall homely vibe. Once I’m done eating I’ll give another rating on the quality, quantity and quotient of their egusi soup and their vegetable/jollof/plantain.Thank you.
