This is one of the only purveyors of Nigerian food in LA. Their Inglewood outpost is churning out delicious soups, stews, and everything in-between. The egusi soup in particular is the perfect blend of warm pumpkin, tangy spinach, and spiced meat. I went for beef, but chicken or fish would go just as nicely. The fufu is just the right amount of starch to carry the other smooth flavors. Be careful when pulling off pieces by hand as it's wrapped tightly to keep warm. If you're unsure about this variety of African cuisine don't hesitate to ask for recommendations based on what's popular or your particular tastes. The food is remarkably fresh meaning it can take anywhere from 30-45 minutes. I assure you it's worth it but schedule your time accordingly. I look forward to trying some of the other regional specialties!

The Ogbono soup tasted bitter. And when I got home from the restaurant and checked my food, the hostess had deliberately put the pounded yam I ordered in the paper bag unwrapped. Part of it was stuck to the bag. I live too far away to go back and get a refund. I wasn't rude to them and patiently waited for my order, so I'm taking that as I sign to never go back there again.

Ever since I found out about this place I've been dying to go and I finally got the chance! My friend and I desperately needed a set care day and were on a bit of a food adventure. We got the popular jollof rice, Fufu and efo Riro. Jollof Rice: 5/5 First off this plate can feed two people! My friend and I split it and still had leftovers. It comes with your choice of protein, we chose chicken. Fufu: 4/5 I mean it wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I like but from Nigerian friends that I've spoken to they say it's the norm. The texture resembles very fluffy mashed potatoes if you're interested in giving it a try. Efo Riro: 4/5 Once again didn't taste bad just my own ignorance. You should know that although it comes with a protein of your choice, the meat use actually minced finely and not actual chunks. It's also a HUGE portion that you could easily eat for like 3 - 4 meals along with the fufu. All in all, I highly recommend and it's super cheap!

Me and a friend tried this place back in February. It was our first time trying African Cuisine. I had the Egusi soup with Chicken and she had the jollof rice with goat meat and the Esiro soup. Although the egusi soup wasn't spicy it was still decent- I didn't like the chicken in it - the chicken was bland and lacked any taste - it didn't soak up any flavors in the soup. The next time I will try it with smoked turkey if the offer it and see if a little spice could be added. The fufu itself smells like mashed potatoes and I enjoyed it with the elusive soup. The Eairo soup was much more flavorful. It was very busy that day and it took nearly an hour for our order to be completed. We didn't mind because ita posted all over the restaurant and its made to order. The two starts are because the goatee was gross - it was very chewy and tough - we wound up throwing it away. And instead of jollof rice, my friend was given white rice. The plantains were also lack luster. I dont know if the young girl who took my order got it wrong, but she was not very helpful and seemed to be slightly irritated. I will most likely try different place the next time I want to try african cuisone again - just as a comparison

i don't know what kind of magic goes on behind those curtains but PLEASE keep doing it. Everything is always fresh and delicious! That's expected after the long wait, it's always worth the wait though! -Jollof Rice -Efo Riro w/ Fish - Sautéed Goat (great flavor, I wish the portion was bigger and more tender ) Ámala Swallow (Sells out fast) I can't wait to try more, this place is consistently good! I'm a FAN!

Excellent cuisine, Chef AJ is serving up fresh made to order food. I really appreciated all the fine flavors in the Curry with Goat and generous portions. I did not walk away hungry. Lunch Specials were a fair price & I will definitely come again for food from our Motherland! Deliciously prepared rice and tender plantains!!

Aduke needs to work on telephone etiquette of her employees. They are the worst when it come to ordering. However, their foods are the best in the Los Angeles area. Thanks.

I love it...the jollof rice was moist and tasty. Apart from my favorite Nigerian restaurant in North California, Ruth Buka, this is hands down my next favorite

Absolutely amazing food. You should disregard any complaints about the timing here because it's explicitly stated all around the restaurant. The food was well worth the wait. The food taste authentic and prepared with love and experience. The meals are prepared to order, so that guarantees freshness. I will be back!

I love this place. Its in kind of an unassuming strip mall which is a little hard to find, but that's no matter for me. The red stew and plantains are our favorites and as a husband to a West African woman, this is as close to mom's cooking we have found.

Very good and tasty- i couldn't stop eating it. very large portions! the egusi stew is kind of basic, i prefered the jollof rice. make sure to order ahead because they take forever. Took a star off because customer service is very lack luster. no smiles, no greeting, no nothing. I even tipped on my togo order and couldn't get a smile or thank you from the worker at the counter. Overall nice experience.

First, I will say that the food was good. The meat pie was tasty. The rice and stew was good but the service was poor. We spent about 100 dollars worth of food and they did not have what we wanted. When we first arrived I asked what they had. The hostess said they had everything only to find out they had no pounded yam and only had amala instead. I am only giving 4 stars because the food is objectively good.
