Ktown icon spot. Something as simple as a vanilla latte with oatmilk can say a lot. They make such incredible coffee and tea, and the eats are divine.

This is a precious cafe that makes beautiful wave-patterned lattes with silky milk foam and espresso made with high-quality coffee beans. It's a place with friendly service that makes worthy to drive extra miles to get a cup of coffee.

Third wave coffee shop, with two locations in prime Koreatown. They brew Onyx Coffee, an Arkansas based roaster that is easily one of the best in the country. Their bakery case is stunning, offering the best selection from local wholesaler Farmshop that I've ever seen. Their menu includes unique specialty drinks, along with every classic espresso beverage you could hope to find. The Misugaru Latte was outstanding. This iced oat latte was lightly sweetened, and infused with nutty black sesame and a grain mix reminiscent of injeolmi. Topped with fresh cream, every sip was memorable. I could not resist the Honeycomb Madeline, which was as delicious as it was beautiful.I dock one star because I strongly disliked the layout of the space, so much that I did not want to hangout or work here. The shop is massive, with plenty of flat surfaces and seating, but all of the seats face the wall. So, your back faces the flow of people coming in and out and waiting in line, which cuts right through the center of the store. Terrible Feng Shui.

I finally ditched my go to worldwide brand on the corner of the street that saves me a *buck... :)Alchemist is located on Wilshire a few blocks east of Western. As I work in this area, I decided to try this location, since they have two. I come here when I crave something more crafty and sweet. For those that don't know me, I'm a caffeine addict! I drink about three cups of coffee a day...Now, the space here isn't large which makes it cozy. However, the ambiance was darker, modern and chic. I saw many patrons on their computers. Thus, I'm assuming they have outlets and WiFi. The service is always excellent and the drinks are delicious. They also had a selection of food and baked goods. However, it's on the pricier side with my latte being about $7+. That's why coming here is a treat!Overall, they have great delicious drinks, but I would say it would be hard to be a regular here if you don't make a fortune.

I've been a lover of Alchemist coffee since years ago! Their coffee is superb no matter what you get (but my personal favorite is a cappuccino), and the space is so nice to hang out in so I don't mind paying a premium. It often gets busy though and there are a lot of seats close together so it can easily feel crowded here. The employees are kind and fast. The canelé wasn't anything to write home about, texture was a bit curdly. I wouldn't get it again. I'd say in general the pastries are a hit or miss here!

The ambience was good. A good place to chat and study. The coffee was good and so was the service. There is free wifi, so you can study or work here. Very chill place, would recommend.

Drinks in general are a bit overpriced. I did not drink any, so I do not have any comments to make on them. Avocado truffle oiled toast and the chicken pesto panini were both tasting great. I liked the avocado toast slightly more than the panini. Panini has a salad section, and I think it should come with some kind of dressing which was not served or offered.

I ordered a latte with no ice, and I literally had 1/3 of my cup filled. Imagine if order regular coffee and 2/3 of it is just ice. Not worth the price.
