Great historical location and atmosphere. Being an espresso snob from the NW USA myself, it was especially nice to experience excellent barista technique and curating of Fonté beans from Seattle. Only minor feedback is for Alcove to try out Fonté's 1st Ave or Cerrado beans. Fonté uses these in their own espresso machines in Seattle.

Fantastic lunch spot! Huge variety of dishes, drinks, and bakery items. Loved the bison chili, corn bread, and citrus salad. Chicken breast on salad was very dry, but otherwise everything was flavorful and delicious.

This place is a neighborhood gem. Really great spot for meeting up with friends or just hanging out solo. The only downside is they really don't have many vegan options. Bummer, cause the ambiance and service are great. If only we could have something decent to eat :)

Alcove is a gem in LA. Their avocado toast is always perfect, and the atmosphere is just so cozy. The outdoor seating is a bonus, especially when the weather is nice. It’s a great spot for brunch, and the staff is always friendly. It does get busy, but it’s definitely worth the wait
