Came for an after comedy show meal and had the most pleasant experience for my past birthday. We arrived an hour before closing and wanted a nice light meal and cocktail and had the best server Devon. He had great recommendations and said we could order our drink and meal at the counter since the Big Bar was hopping. Most amazing dry martini and grilled cheese / tomato soup meal ever. Devon made a point to check on us as we were one of the few tables outside and had great conversation at this gem of a local spot. Alcove always brings the charm and great spot for out of town company. And the cheesecake for dessert was icing on the cake!

Truly horrible meal. The lettuce wasn’t fresh, salad overall flavorless and for $22–yikes. The breakfast biscuit sandwich completely fell apart. We’ve never done this before but we left after barely finishing the meal. This place has gone downhill and is phoning it in with the beautiful location and atmosphere.

Great service, feels like a little hideout in LA. Very green. Food was delicious (I had the jerk chicken with coconut rice) and lattes are excellent as well. Lots and lots of seating.

Vibes are good, food is good (big portions) and service is great! Dog friendly as well. Highly recommend their short rib sandwich and ricotta pancake. Their americano is also good.

the food is amazing however… the service is really underwhelming and unfortunate. the staff is really passive aggressive and hostile. We went to the bar to ask if they had anything fruity or can recommend anything and the girl just said “no we don’t have anything fruity.” and was being very rude and passive aggressive. i feel like considering the drinks aren’t that good especially for the markup we should at least get a friendly staff. Also according to my partner they were extremely nice and even joking with him when he went to order so it’s so unfortunate that the woman working at the bar was rude to another woman… i do not recommend this bar in the least and if you’re okay with rude staff and good food maybe it’ll be the place for you since the atmosphere is cute we probably spent a good 200+ for my sisters birthday and to be treated the way we were is so unfair

Black Forest cake slice for $13 is way too expensive for something that tastes like supermarket cake… :(

Don’t waste your time and money on this one. If you want a great treat after a hike, go to The Trails, which is right in Griffith Park. If you want a great breakfast, go to this place twin (but way better-looking one): Aroma Coffee & Tea in Studio City. The long lines there during breakfast time every day don’t lie. You’ll be surprised how almost the same menu can taste waaay better. And if you want great coffee, go to nearby Maru Coffee.

I didn’t know (and nobody told me) that you need to take your coffee right after you order, so when I came back 10 minutes later wondering where it was, it was waiting for me on the counter. My cappuccino was not only cold but also without foam. And my shakshuka was just two poached eggs thrown into tomato paste, not tasty at all. Really bad experience.
