Surprisingly, not many coffee shops open until 6PM, so lucky to find Alfred as an option!

Came by around 5:35 and still quite a bit of people.

We ordered a few drinks:
-strawberry matcha latte $7.75 ea, 16 oz iced (50 cent surcharge), oat milk, cloud cream (plant based coconut)
-americano $4.50
-ice pumpkin spice latte $7.75 ea

I personally had the iced americano. It was very smooth and saved the day to keep me up.

Street parking only.

Love Alred Encino. Friendly service, cozy vibe, and the lavender matcha is a must. So smooth, lightly floral, and seriously delicious.

Love this Alfred’s location and come here often. Drinks are great and food is great and I love the sit down atmosphere. My only request is that they get more stock of breakfast items because clearly the customers love them as much as I do!

I love the coffee here…but thats mostly because I’m crazy and mostly drink red eyes and this is the only place I know that makes a good one! The lattes and food are good too, and the service is great!

Yay! Alfred’s has made its way over to the valley at last. I didn’t know they have one in Encino, so it was a pleasant surprise yesterday after lunch. The vibe is different than the other locations, but still very cute, and offering breakfast (not sure I noticed that before). We ordered a latte and a short americano. The americano was okay - a little on the sour side and slightly watered down. Latte was good! The service is nice. The staff is welcoming, attentive and friendly. The only thing that needs to be improved is the cleanliness. Most of the open tables had crumbs and other things left behind.

I don’t leave reviews much, but this place deserves it. Very warm and welcoming environment. The team is always laughing and supporting each other. I make it a point to make it out here everyday.

The coffee is okay but what makes me give the low stars is for the way they behaved. I’ve seen many people come in with their dogs, all sizes so I felt it was okay for me to bring my dog as others do. However, I was met with a rude worker that told me I need to leave and dogs are not allowed… so how come every-time I come everyone has their dogs but mine was the only one not allowed?

I was so excited for this new location to open but unfortunately the experience hasn’t been great. I’ve been here a couple of times, the wait time is usually very long and by the time the coffee is ready, it’s often cold. On top of that, the coffee doesn’t taste very good, especially considering the price. I expected better quality and consistency. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend it based on my experiences.

I actually really appreciate that this place opened because Encino needed a new coffee shop. I like that there’s a semi-outdoor area to sit and work, and it does attract a younger crowd. For those reasons, I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1.

However, there are some issues that really impact the experience:

1. The matcha has a noticeable fishy taste, which likely means the ingredients are low quality.

2. Anytime someone moves a chair, the screeching noise is shockingly loud. It genuinely startles me while I’m working. Adding pads to the chair legs would fix this easily.

3. There are very few power outlets, which creates constant battery anxiety for anyone working for more than an hour or two.

4. The cappuccinos are not good. They taste like hot milk with a hint of coffee. Even ordering an extra shot doesn’t help.

5. The WiFi is basically unusable. I always end up relying on my phone hotspot. It’s surprising this isn’t a priority, especially since most people here are clearly studying or working.

6. When it gets busy, drinks take a very long time to come out.

I truly want to love this place, but these issues make it hard to enjoy or stay productive. I hope they improve, because the potential is definitely there.

coffee was basic and not good. they didn't even fill up my whole cup. it was missing a quarter of the drink! breakfast burrito was not good, the eggs in the burrito tasted like those eggs at the buffet, dry and hard. I've tried wake and late burritos and something is way off for the ones at alfred's. Terrible considering the price you are paying for way below basic quality.
