Tried Al's for the first time in 2020 and have ordered a handful of times from them since They used to be a shawarma place but not turned into a Nashville style chicken sandwich place - lots of competition in the area with Dave's being across the street and Reds down the way on Venice It's decent - ordered from them on NYE as they were one of the few places that were still opened. on NYE i had a medium spicy sandwich with extra spicy sauce and honey sauce what i like about al's that sets them apart from the other nashville places is their sandwiches are full size instead of sliders however, this time the sandwhich/chicken had a weird chemical taste - like it was cleaned with a cleaning solution so i tossed it othertimes i've had their loaded fries which were super loaded maybe ye was a fluke, overall it's a good place but i think for other options in the area that offer nashville style chicken it doesnt measure up

The ambiance is alright it's a small little shop I'm guessing they're still renovating it I'm not sure but it's on a busy street you can do a u turn so that's the good thing I didn't mind and you can park in the back aswell and the service was good I'm not gonna lie they took my order quickly didn't wait that long like 15-20 minutes for my food it was worth it though I'm not gonna lie them fries are good as hell perfectly seasoned and not too hard just crispy/ limp but that slaw was amazing that's what I think had a crazy amount of flavors in it, it was the best slaw I've ever tasted I honestly wouldn't mind just ordering their slaw alone and their chicken is crispy as hell perfectly coated in flavor and breading the juice is seen in the bites you take it's good as hell and their sauce is good the yellow one is amazing it taste almost identical or similar to the chicken-fil-a sauce but that's my opinion you should decide on your own and see but also white sauce is also pretty good and overall it was pretty great I'm not gonna lie yall should come and try it fs!!!!

Decided to try this place because of an ad my husband saw on instagram. The atmosphere was bright, loud, and uncomfortable. There seemed to be a lot of college kids there. We waited 30 minutes for our order of 2 sandwiches, 2 fries, and an order of fried pickles. We each got a free cone of ice cream which was tasty. The soda machine was in the back, which was just odd. We sat at a table to wait and they were unnecessarily huge. Super uncomfortable. We got our food and it came out hot and fresh, the chicken “batter” was falling off of the chicken which was annoying and not a good experience. The sauce was just a smokey mayonnaise. The fried pickles were too hard and oily. The fries were pretty tasty. It was like $30, and a 30 minute wait. I won’t be coming here again.

I got fried wings and fries medium spicy. It just super salty and overload of red chili powder. There was only the drum part of the wings no actual wings lol. I barely could finish one wings because of how salty it was. Waste of

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty empty. Service was super friendly and there was a little wait for our food but it came out sooo hot and fresh. The nashville rub on the chicken was perfect, it was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy.

Halal fried chicken and waffles? Heck yes!Ended up going to Al's for the first time today and absolutely loved it. Here's a rundown below:Parking: There's a lot in the back with a decent amount of spaces available, including a decent amount of street parking nearby.Service: Friendly and welcoming staff.Ambience: Comfy vibe, very casual. Decent mix of seating inside as well as outside with a tarp for protection from the rain and sun.Food: I'd ordered the 2 piece leg and thigh combo /w waffles. Hands down some of the best fried chicken I've ever had in my life. Great Nashville spice rub, crispy and flavorful with every bite, and succulent chicken. Went really well with the white sauce that was complimentary with the order. The waffles had nice texture, served with a side of butter and syrup, so without hesitation I slathered it all over the couple of pieces that came with the order. It was an absolute sugar rush, and very filling. Can't wait to come back!

Chicken was hot and delicious, I had the medium spice sliders and fries with mac n cheese. Worth stopping for lunch or dinner if you’re in LA!

Ordered a 3 tender combo. Portion size is good, but chicken was underwhelming. Got the mild, but lacked any substantial flavor disregarding the spice level. Chicken was decently cooked but it felt like eating a slab of chicken. Texture was not remotely crispy, unfortunately. Prices are no bargain, a bit more expensive than fair.

Let's just say that I am an avid hot chicken sandwich consumer, so I have high standards when trying a new restaurant. Upon entering, I was a bit hesitant based on the fact that the restaurant will split into two restaurants, one mediterranean restaurant and a hot chicken restaurant, which were served by the same people and had a shared kitchen. However, when I received my sandwich, I was surprised by the size and excited to take a bite. Boy, oh boy, that sandwich was delicious. The chicken was extremely tender and juicy and the sauce pack just enough punch. That, paired with the coleslaw and bun, made a sandwich that is worth coming back for.If you are in the Culver City area, I would highly recommend visiting Al's Hot Chicken.

Woke up really wanting to get my fix of extra spicy chicken. The chicken was hot as hell entering and exiting my body.10/10 will never look at spicy fried chicken the same again.
