Came to this establishment for brunch with my wife, got bad vibes from the moment we walk in. The restaurant is nice and the food was good, but the service was horrible, they were acting to uppity & trying to speak proper, while missing items that were ordered. The food is over priced for the portions, like who charges $33 for fish & grits, really š¤. In total paid $121 for brunch that didn't include drinks is ridiculous. Then the waiter ask me if I was the owner of the card I was paying with š¤£š¤£ I asked him why would you ask that and he couldn't answer, I then asked him would he like some I.D. I hate black owned establishments like this. I will never return here. Worst spot ever

I always eat at a place three times before leaving a review. I can say that all three times the food has been consistently amazing. Thereās nothing disappointing on this menu so you really canāt go wrong and you will leave warmed to the soul. The service has been in a steady decline each visit and I canāt quite put my finger on the reason. Donāt let that deter you though, the food will be worth it.

California soul food with serious flavor. The fried chicken and cornbread are next-level. Welcoming, relaxed vibe.

When I have dinner with my family I need to be very strategic as they are quite picky and, well letās just say, quirky. They have high expectations and yet wish to remain āhumbleā. Itās annoying. What isnāt annoying, and the reason I am writing this review, is that the staff at Alta Adams crushed it. They helped make my birthday with my family far easier than it had been in the past and did it with an understanding nod and enthusiasm that alone would be cause for me to return. Then there was the great food, which also would be enough to get me back. 5/5

Great food, drinks and service. The gumbo was some of the best I've had in LA and the chicken was fried to perfection. 10/10

Best Mac and cheese Iāve ever had, the yams and friend chicken were also phenomenal. Service was a little funny, the food came before the drinks and it took them awhile to retrieve the check but who cares?
*Also note the additional 4% health and wellness fee from Covid when calculating ur bill but ik some people just adjust their tip amounts in accordance

Came here to order takeout for dinner and was told by the tall guy with gray hair behind the bar that I cannot order takeout due to a private event. I asked if they answer the phone because I called over 5 times and drove over 40 mins to get here and he said when they have time they answer. He was extremely rude and I will not eat here at all, he has no idea who he was talking to and his rude nasty attitude will cause others to not want to patronize this business. Others were still sitting down eating that wasnāt part of a private event. Do not eat here go somewhere else with better customer service
My husband and I really enjoyed our experience at the restaurant. It was warm, friendly and professional. We began our dinner with their deviled eggs, which we found to be average. My husband ordered their oxtails and grits, which was excellent! I ordered the brisket, which was very tender, but also dry. The server was very warm, friendly, and attentive.

The restaurant from the outside looks very small. The interior is divided up into several large rooms and there are outside sections in rear of the restaurant that is open air. There are several heating units on the upper walls and portable heating units on the floor. The tables are chairs are easy to move around to accommodate all size parties. There is a full service bar. The prices are moderate. Some of the dishes served were good and other dishes served were fair. The service was very good and the restaurant is very clean.

Very disappointing. HORRIBLE service for mediocre food. We werenāt checked on once, asked how food is, and all took long to come out. Iām actually shocked bc it could be a lay up with tight service, (and a better dj not on her phone messing up the blend would help.)

Went here for brunch and it was truly perfect. We went to a mediocre Michelin star restaurant the night before, and this blew that out of the water.
The food, the service, and the ambiance were all great. The waffle is unlike anything Iāve had - light and delicious. The grits are the right texture, and the cocktails are unique.

Food was amazing! Service was excellent! The vibe was awesome! Adamās is bustling with business and a new energy! My family was glad to support this local restaurant! We were all thrilled at how good the food is! Greens! Mac and cheese! Shrimp and grits! Chicken and waffle! Oxtail! All outstanding! Go!
