**BEWARE SMALL PORTIONS**
I went to Amante, LA, on weekdays. The restaurant was quite empty. The bartender greeted us and took us to our seats. As we sat down, we looked around, and the restaurant seemed very authentic as if we were eating in Italy.
We have diet restrictions, so we didn't order meat; we stayed with seafood and vegetarian options.
We ordered Bruschetta Al Funghi, which was two pieces of sourdough bread toasted with olive oil and topped with mushrooms, truffle sauce, and glaze. I expected bread sticks, but two pieces of bread filled with mushrooms kind of tell me something about their portion.
For our main course, we ordered their signature pasta and Chef Special Pasta with shrimp (made-to-order, Cheese wheel prep pasta). We got less than a cup of pasta with five pieces of shrimp. Overall, the food was very good and tasted authentic; however, it was a small portion of our price. Cheese Wheel Pasta was tiny (kids' size pasta).
Overall, our experience was 6/10.

i’m warning everyone wanting to try this place, do not come here and go somewhere else instead. The pasta is frozen and they will charge you extra for any little thing you want. I also order the mussels in spicy tomato broth and it most of the mussels were empty :( and i was still charged for empty mussels. The waitress was really nice but management needs more work and understanding the quality of their mediocre food with prices.

The food and drinks were fantastic. The atmosphere was great also, however we had a 6pm reservation and we sat there for over 30 minutes with only being served water. We later found out that our actual waiter was working the bar because staffing was undermanned.( i blame management, not our waiter) however once he got to us he was very attentive and friendly and apologetic. Towards the end of the meal management began to rush us to pay and leave by holding that conversation over our heads which was not appreciated despite us not being served for over 30 minutes into our reservation. them having a time crunch was not our fault.

The place is beautiful and it’s like you walk into another world from the downtown area. It’s family friendly and date friendly. The hosts are attentive and get your order right. The food portions were great and the flavor was also good and authentic. We had the cheese bread, the chicken parmigiana and the pizza, and tiramisu as the desert. Highly recommend.

This is quite literally the best meal I have ever had in my entire life. Not kidding. Went for my son's birthday and they made it special without even asking. We had the sangria flight and the flavors were delish - my fave being the pineapple, my son's was the peach. Then we splurged and had the off menu Parmigiano Reggiano Wheel pasta with housemate noodles (linguini) and shaved truffle - the noodles were al dente and perfection, the truffle was generous and the whole spectacle of them making it there in front of you is worth the extra $$. It was creamy and delicious and every bite was a moment unto itself. Then onto the pizza - wow wow wow - I'm not usually a fan of pizza so for me to say I am now craving this dish is amazing. We chose the Pera Candita for $18.00 and it was a flavor explosion of Candied pears, caramelized onions, spinach, white sauce, goat cheese, prosciutto, and balsamic glaze. Each moist bite was perfectly paired with the thin and crispy wood fired base. It was pure perfection and every bite had a myriad of flavors and textures that just had me buzzing. Then they surprised us with complimentary champagne AND a slice of flaming chocolate birthday cake which was also moist, sweet and delicious and the staff sang happy birthday to my son. The decor is simple and pleasing, I love the open kitchen style where the chefs obviously lovingly take care of your food, the service was impeccable, our waitress Marixsa was charming and friendly and attentive and they made my son's birthday dinner one of the best we've ever had. This is a hidden gem for LA and even though we found street parking easily apparently there is a parking lot right next door. We will definitely be going back.

The food was absolutely DELICIOUS, and the atmosphere couldn’t have been more perfect! The owner, Galia, is a true hands-on business owner, and we were lucky to be served by William and Francesco, who both went above and beyond. Every dish was spectacular!

This has officially become our new favorite Italian spot for birthdays or anytime we’re craving authentic Italian cuisine. I’m honestly surprised this place doesn’t have more stars—it’s time to change that! This “hidden gem” deserves to go viral!

They made my 40th birthday extra special, and for that, I am so grateful. Thank you, God, Galia, and her incredible team!

We had the mushroom bruschetta, fettuccine and the mushroom pappardelle. All dishes were delicious and hot. The decorations were mediocre and there were flying gnats buzzing around. I would probably get take out next time. I definitely enjoyed the good quality.

Had a fraudulent charge from this restaurant.. I disputed the claim and this restaurant tried to reverse my claim.. I’ve never been to this restaurant in my life and I live four hours away personally I feel like they need to check IDs to make sure that the cardholder is who they say they are.
