One of my favorite restaurants in town! First timer me and my wife went for my birthday and the experience was way more than what was expected we will definitely be back🤲🏽🤲🏽
Amante was amazing! The vibe was modern and trendy. The service was quick and kind. The food was the best part!!! The truffle pasta was to die for. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a nice night out and yummy Italian food. Additionally the drinks were good. They served wines/ beer.
My new favorite restaurant in LA! Walking distance to the Orpheum. Both the service and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Beautiful tall ceilings and nicely decorated. The only thing that could be improved is you cannot have mixed drinks on the restaurant side of the business only on the bar side which is puzzling because it's all one establishment. Still a top-notch destination.
The food was great and the waiters were very nice and attentive, but I noticed my sister and I were treated differently from the other patrons. When I made this reservation, I did check off “birthday” on the occasion section of the reservation . Before we received our food I noticed that across the restaurant there was a table who got some sort of celebratory song/claps from the waiters, and I was under the impression we would get the same service since we were there celebrating my sister‘s birthday . We did not. Her birthday was not even brought up. Then, when my sister ordered the chef special, we were told that the chef would come table side to prepare her pasta. I believed that because the table right behind us ordered the same special my sister did, and the chef was at their table and prepared their pasta table side. When it was my sister's turn I noticed the chef did not come out like our waiter said he would to make the pasta table side. Instead my sister's special was made by a waiter named Pasha instead of the chef. I did not like that at all. Her pasta wasn't even plated as nicely as the other tables.
Great downtown LA spot!

We had a terrible experience with the staff. We waited for 20 minutes before we were allowed to enter the doors.
Exceptional service and food as always. The carbonara is fantastic—perfect al dente along with the pesto pasta. They did these better than some places we dined at in Rome! Cioppino was really good too. Highly recommend this hidden spot un DTLA.
We really enjoyed the big wheel of parmesan and ate every bite of our spaghetti with shaved truffles! Would definitely return for another pre theatre meal!

My entire family was looking forward to celebrating our birthdays and we all walked away amazed at the incredible dishes fresh made. Definitely will return as we had an incredible experience.
Dined three times at Amante and the service has always been excellent!!! Will dine again in the near future!!!
Great experience! I'm just sad that I specified we celebrated a birthday and there was no acknowledgement for it
Terrible restaurant. Honestly, after the lukewarm dish I was served I think I’d rather eat lukewarm warm Olive Garden leftovers than this crap. 0/10. This place isn’t even run by real Italians. Also took them 15+ minutes to come back with a refill of my glass of water.
