Everything excellent!!!! We were a party of 3 and arrived early. Hands down best service from our servers (primary with help just because they all help each other out) and the bartender made excellent drinks! Ambiance and food terrific! We will be back.

After watching the 4th of July fireworks at Echo Park with our kids, we were starving—and everything was closed. The Lonely Oyster was the only spot still open, and they welcomed us in like family. The owner was incredibly kind, and our server, Hellyeah (spelled incorrectly, sorry), made sure we had everything we needed.
We ordered the clam chowder, fries, burger, oysters, and some great beer. Everything was immaculate—but the oysters especially were a standout. We highly recommend them, and honestly, everything on the menu. Thank you for saving our night and treating us. Whenever we're back in LA, we'll definitely be back!

Food was delicious but pricy for the small portions you receive. Service was absolutely horrible. Was immediately met with attitude. They didn’t give use oyster forks or the delicious vinegrettes until we were down to three oysters, didn’t place 2 items that were ordered or check on us to see if we were wanting more after sitting there for 50+ minutes waiting for the rest of our nonexistent food, and then made us wait another 40 minutes to bring out the bill we asked for while we watched them close out 3 other tables that came in after us. This was a non busy afternoon shift. Sorry us out of towners don’t give off a hip enough LA vibe to get treated like decently paying customers. Come to spend big bucks and have an amazing seafood lunch. Left hungry and agitated. The taco truck around the corner gave off much better service. Honestly the worst we’ve ever been treated at a restaurant.

SCAM!!! They say they have caviar for expensive order and then when you order it they tell you that it’s salmon caviar instead of normal caviar, even though it says it no where on the menu. It’s the biggest scam of any restaurant I’ve seen. The waiter even acknowledged it and said it’s a huge problem with the restaurant. I’ve never seen such disregard for legality. Place should be sued.

The server was great but kept apologizing for the long courses and had many tables. Did not receive what was stated on the menu but wasn't trying to cause more of a wait for our food.

The pasta vongole was amazing! Cocktails were all great, too! Especially the dirty martini which was just amazing. However, the oysters were not opened properly and had many pieces of little shell bits, which is not really acceptable at the price point they are at. I went on a particularly busy night and we were a little too close to the table next to us. The ambiance was therefore not so romantic.

Visited TLO with a couple of friends on a Friday night. The food and drinks were very good. The service, however, was very slow. It was a busy night, and they did mention they were down a shucker, so I'd be open to revisiting and seeing if my experience is any different.
Food was absolutely delicious! We ordered about 3 plates for 3 ppl to share which was enough but def on the smaller portion side, drinks were great too. It's very dark inside almost too dark but it's alright and service wasn't amazing she took so ling to come back around to get our second drink order, other than that it was great

We just moved to the neighborhood, and this was our first dinner in the area! The servers and bartenders were beyond delightful. All of the food was spectacular. The drinks were totally different from cocktails we'd experienced elsewhere (in a great way.) Will definitely be back.

They couldn’t even make a proper cup of tea with a teabag—they gave us lukewarm water! What more could you expect? Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I experienced such terrible service—if ever. They forgot our forks, brought us only one spoon for multiple desserts, forgot about our tea, and then served it with almost cold water. My Caesar salad was absolutely gross, and my boyfriend’s dessert was awful—huge chunks of salty something. 🤯 I’m genuinely shocked—it feels impossible to make so many mistakes in such a short amount of time, even if you were trying!
