Tried the Woodland Hills location. Overpriced hipster burger joint with non-existent service. The burger was mildly uninspired and greasy and fries just average. A combo burger fires and rink runs about $24. Unreasonably expensive given the quality

This is one of the best burgers I have had before. Great size, cooked however you like it and the taste is just amazing! I had the chimi burger special with amboy nachos. My husband had the amboy burger. The server was amazing, explained to us perfectly how ordering from here works as we had never been here before. Great price for what you get. Great vibe in the place too. There is parking along the street for $5 flat rate. If I lived here this would be my choice of local burger joint. Couldn't recommend enough.

The food was great!! Got the Amboy Burger, double with extra onion. Next time I might go light on the onions but loved it. Gonna try the fancy burger next time. Will order again!

Amboy Quality Meats offers a standout dining experience for burger enthusiasts. On my recent visit, I opted for the Chester burger, paired with fries and a chili cheese hotdog. From the first bite, it was clear that this was not just any burger; the flavors were rich and well-balanced, making each mouthful a delight. The fries were perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside—complementing the burger beautifully.
The service at Amboy was equally impressive. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, ensuring that my meal was served promptly and to perfection. It's always refreshing to encounter a team that is both knowledgeable about their menu and eager to make recommendations. This level of service enhanced the overall dining experience, making me feel welcome and appreciated as a customer.
In terms of quality, Amboy excels across the board. The food arrived warm, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients used. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by Amboy Quality Meats for a burger that truly delivers on taste and satisfaction. You won’t be disappointed!

Food was pretty tasty & a very reasonable price, but service was a bit lacking in kindness.

I told the owner that the Amboy burger was in my top 5, but I lied. It's easily top 3. He asked me what burgers I've eaten recently and I couldn't even think of one because I was so enamored with the one I was eating. Everything about it is perfect. The patty is incredibly juicy and the bun has enough tooth to hold up to it. The bun itself really puts it over the top. I've never had one like it on a burger and it's become the gold standard. The lady at the register was incredibly friendly and helpful too. I'll be thinking about this one for years. Massive respect to the owner and staff. ?

Very small burger spot meat shop in Chinatown. One of the best burgers in LA (Def in the top 3), been working through the menu and yet to find something that wasn’t absolutely delicious. The fries are a big order, perfect to split with two or 3 people.

Such a good smashburger, totally worth the price. It's juicy, the garlic sauce is great, with some onions. Loved the very sesame laden bun. The fries are like improved McDonald's fries. All good!

I got a Fancy Classic from this cute little burger shop. The burgers are simple and yummy. They were closing up so we sat outside the shop and talked and ate and enjoyed. This is a great place when you just want a good bite, nothing complicated, nothing overthought. It’s just plain good. Service was lovely and enthusiastic.

I got the amboy style double slim thic (probably could have just got a single, tbh) and fries. Great burger. I liked them better than howlin rays, and there was no line.

I've heard rave reviews about this buger spot so we had to try it. I must say, the quality of meat and sesame bun made my smash burger special. If you like a thicker burger, the steakhouse burger is a must. The chili fries were also a hit. I get the hype. Didn't wait long for our order and were able to get a table within a few minutes. A bit pricey but it's definitely worth a try.

Honestly I was surprised this place doesn't have more clout. Alvin deserves it. Honestly when I asked the girl at the counter if Alvin was working, she seemed surprised and asked where I knew him from. I was like "Uhh... YouTube?" He was there but was busy filling a large catering order. She said she'd send him out when they were finished, but we ate and left before that.
Honestly? It wasn't quite as good as Goldburger, but on our LA burger tour Amboy ranked high. We got the Amboy classic double with chopped chilies (was like an In-n-Out style), and the Fancy classic double. Both were awesome burgers, and the fries were great, too (a small can easily feed two). I would for sure recommend Amboy to any burger lover.

Not bad overall. Not worth traveling for more than 10 minutes or so. I don't mind my burger a little medium/medium rare but there were more darker red pieces than shown in the review. Fries were good and customer service was great.

Ordered this place 3x before I realized they had some ridiculous price gouging between the apps. For once it’s not UberEATS or DoorDash being crappy it’s a restaurant. There is a literal 5-10$ difference in the price of their food between these apps and it’s disgusting to see. These sandwiches were great but I don’t like any kind of business that’s going to practice manipulative tactics like that. Will not be eating her again . It’s disgusting what you’re doing to make money and seeing some of the other comments all mention the owner… I fully believe these are intentional choices on their part to make more money
