I went here for my birthday and everything was delicious. We got the focaccia, whipped ricotta, & Cesar for starters. Everything was light but delicious. For the main we had the ragu pappardelle, the lemon pasta & branzino. My partner doesn’t really love branzino but he thought it was delicious. We couldn’t leave without the strawberry ice cream. That was the star of the night because we’ve never had a gelato like it!

Really impressed by this restaurant. The staff were as good as the food. A little pricey on the wine by the glass.

First, they have valet. In a terrible parking neighborhood that makes all the difference. Second, once you walk inside, you forget you’re in a KTown strip mall, which is nice when you’re getting in the mood for fancy Italian wine and pasta. Third, the food and service are both excellent!! We had focaccia, broccoli Caesar, burrata with peas and tendrils, lemon tortelli, ravioli di nonna, mushroom sugo, and cannelloni for dinner and we had pistachio ice cream, honeycomb ice cream and cannoli for dessert. I would order all again, but will probably try something new next time because the menu seemed full of hits. I really enjoyed the food and would love to come back! It’s pricey, about $375 for 3 people (that does include 4 glasses of wine, which were like $20 each). Worth it for a special meal in my opinion.

Sensational rustic Italian by chef Chad Colby. Hidden in a mini mall is one of LA’s most inventive and relaxed restaurants. Feels like a farmhouse once inside with a big open wood fired kitchen.Menu changes with seasons with a large selection of original pastas and grilled dishes. Don’t miss the focaccia — maybe the best bread in LA.Service super friendly and knowledgeable. Deep Italian wine list with something in all price categories. Corkage possible at $50.A bit expensive but absolutely worth the money. Easy to share dishes and you should!

Totally bummed about my last visit here. Made a reservation and called to confirm two hours before, but the manager still turned us away at the door with nothing but vague excuses. It felt off, like the manager took one look at us and decided nope. It left us feeling like it was more about who we are, which really soured the whole experience. Definitely not what you want when you’re out trying to enjoy a meal.Honestly, the whole thing came off as super condescending. If there’s some rule we missed, just say so. But making guests feel unwelcome? That’s not okay.I hope the manager takes a hard look at how they treat people. Also, the place was really noisy, and the food wasn’t great; my friends all found it too salty. Not to mention that great food isn’t everything—it’s about respect, too. Everyone deserves that, no matter who you are or where you’re from.

i was not too impressed by the chicken or the potato puree. not bad, definitely good food, but not exceptional. I'd call the food 3.5 based on the price, maybe a 4 star if it were a little less expensive.then i got to the ice cream and holy smokes was it worth the whole trip. the honey comb especially; i would come back just for that. the dessert and the service bring this place up to a 5 star. i have to commend the creativity of the menu as well, especially the pastas which i probably should have ordered. they had rabbit or quail on pasta shapes you don't see anywhere else.space is beautiful but cramped; if they can keep drawing crowds consistently, a bigger dining room might be in order.

Waiter tried to imply we didn't order enough. Not my first time there, I know what I wanted. The Mexican guy who picked up the dishes and plates was super nice and even remembered us from our last time here. "It's a pleasure to have you back again". Made me and girlfriend feel welcomed.

This place is cute. The vibe is cute. The food is not as good as I expected. However it is fresh. If you like flavorful tasty food this is not the place. The blends of flavors in this food is bland. Blander than I expected and I would have love to have more textures to the ice cream.

An evening with my wife to celebrate her birthday. We ordered the duck liver, chicken, cannelloni, focaccia, and ice cream. We enjoyed all our dishes, except the ice cream. Which is just your standard soft ice cream with the appropriate toppings to separate the flavors. The bread was great! Nice place, parking is valet $10. A little on the expensive side, $150+, but worth a visit at least once a year.

My wife and I had an incredible dinner here. Our first set of courses - focaccia, whipped ricotta, duck liver and saba, and broccoli and chicory salad - sent us into the fifth dimension. Everything after that was good (pastas) to great (pork ribs, pistachio ice cream). The vibe is not fussy and the service is stellar. The taste of focaccia amid the smell of almond wood smoke will haunt your dreams.

Ran out of tomahawk steak on a friday night. Focaccia and brocollini overly salted. Ribs overly seasoned. Overall unimpressed. Our waiter was the only good and best part of the
