Absolutely love Anwar’s Kitchen! I went for the first time and had a very good Mediterranean cuisine, every dish was packed with authentic flavour and cooked to perfection the food was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly seasoned. The service was friendly and fast too and the whole place has such good vibes i would like to thank the whole team for making our dinner memorable especially katherine and the lady who was at the cashier gave us a very good service. We also got complimentary baklava which was delicious. Must try their baklava!!!

I went here before a concert a couple weeks ago. I liked their food way more than my local Mediterranean place which is still pretty good but let me tell you I got these fries that had beef schwarma and 1000 islands and other stuff on top and it was amazing. That meat is perfection. Was a little disappointed in the falafel, it seemed overcooked but meh, it happens, it'll probably be better next time because judging by the other stuff I believe it's normally pretty good.
Never heard of Anwar before this visit, the food just looked good for our trip and it felt like I walked into another dimension with his YouTube videos and pictures of him with the food all over the place but honestly I really liked it. I've never really seen that before and it was a little odd but that's why I liked it, it felt different and like an experience rather than a meal. I really dug this place and I know next time we are in the area it'll be my first choice! 😝

LOVE this restaurant. first time trying Mediterranean food. I ordered the chicken shrwama bowl with humus + sauce, veggies, chese sticks and petal bread :) bowl was packed. really got my $20 worth. the food was delicious and plentiful. the restaurant staff was family operated and very friendly. they made me feel so welcomed. they are popular for a reason. go check them out!

I can’t say enough good things about Anwar’s Kitchen! Every time I go, I leave completely satisfied. • The food is outstanding — full of flavor, fresh, and hit every craving I had. • They’ve got great variety — shawarma tacos, pita + hummus, desserts — something for everyone.  • The ambience is cool and casual, perfect for grabbing a meal any time. • Bonus: they’re open late (till 4 AM!) — so when I’m starving after everything else is closed, Anwar’s Kitchen is there.  • And don’t even get me started on dessert — pistachio baklava is next-level perfection.
If you haven’t tried Anwar’s Kitchen yet, do yourself a favor and go. It’s a hidden gem that totally lives up to the hype.!

I came here between meetings and was impressed by how smoothly everything went. The staff was attentive and made sure my order came out quickly without losing quality. The grilled chicken shawarma wrap was fresh and packed with flavor, and the hummus on the side was creamy and delicious. Anwar’s Kitchen in Downtown Los Angeles has quickly earned a spot on my delivery rotation. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap along with a side of fries, their spicy sauce, and some tomatillo salsa. The portion size seemed small when I opened the package but the wraps are packed with chicken shawarma. It didn’t feel skimpy like you sometimes get with other shawarma spots. The chicken itself had a really nice flavor, well-seasoned and juicy, and the sauces paired perfectly with it, especially my favorite which was the spicy orange sauce. The sauce had a bite without being overwhelming, and the tomatillo salsa added a fresh, tangy contrast, but I didn't like it as much.
The fries deserve a mention too. They weren’t just basic fries tossed in salt; they had a seasoned flavor that made them stand out. I caught myself reaching for them even after I was full.
Price-wise, I thought it was very fair for what you get. Downtown LA has plenty of spots with similar price points, but Anwar’s Kitchen feels like you’re getting more for your money because of the flavor and portion sizes. That’s what made it feel like a good deal to me. You pay what you’d pay anywhere else, but the food tasted better for me.
Since I ordered for delivery, I can’t say much about the inside of the restaurant or the vibe, but if the food is this solid, I’d imagine the dine-in experience is worth checking out. The fact that it traveled well and still tasted this good is a big plus, especially for something like shawarma that can sometimes get soggy in transit.
Anwar’s Kitchen gave me exactly what I was hoping for: flavorful food, fair price, and a meal that stood out compared to other local spots. It’s the kind of place I’d happily recommend to friends, and I definitely plan on ordering from them again.
