I'm assuming astro Melrose and astro on santa Monica are same owners. My wofe and I walked into Santa Monica blvd location a week and a half ago. Slammed. Full house. Ordered 2 double cheeseburgers. 2 fries and drinks. Quick service. Friendly. Huge, loaded burgers. Tons of fries. Full of flavor. Fries were salted and made perfect. So we were feeling astro this morning. Ordered through instacart. For some reason. It came from Melrose location. Double cheeseburger. Large fries and a taco. Taco was awesome. Burger was small. Bland. Like no seasoning. Small amount of toppings. Large fry. Half the size of our in person visit at Santa Monica blvd. Zero salt. No condiments of any kind. No ketchup for the fries. No napkins. Very disappointed. Instacart guy was great. Quick. Will never order delivery again. And definitely will never eat at Melrose location. Not very cool that delivery gets half effort amd portion of in person.

You can see the Hollywood signed from 1-2 streets of this location!
The staff was kinda having difficulty to understand what we wanted, took several times to repeat... Food was good but too spicy, too bad they didn't ask for spicy level. Apparently the girl employee messed up the order of the next customer as he came back to the counter and seemed to also have difficulty to make himself understood.
Maybe this girl has to be replaced by someone more competent

I remember growing up in the 80's eating at Astro Burger on the corner of Alvarado St and Village. That restaurant has been closed, but I am so glad the owner still keep this one open on Melrose. I stop just by with my family for dinner and the astro burgers taste just as good as they have always been. Love that original charbroil burgers with that marinated sliced lettuces. They keep that classic vibe and nostalgia atmosphere. Will always come back every once in a while when I feel like a kid again. 🙂

Love this place. Dine in or drive through. Lots of vegetarian options but also something for everyone.

They charge 4% to use card. That’s the highest I’ve heard. Ok then let us pay w crypto zelle or Venmo etc… Also the food here is not that good. And the customer service is even worse. They have a very moody staff. Zero stars

Nice folks - nostalgic - “solid” food - ok, not great - not bad - solid. Big cheeseburger - could have been juicier. First bite good - could taste the char in a good way. Meat kind of cardboard ok - not bad - not great. Big though. Onion rings pretty good - old school batter - plain. Coleslaw very good - old school deli style. Chocolate milkshake - mediocre at best. Very nice staff, especially the nice lady who took our order. Not a bad meal - just mediocre.

After touring Paramount, we drove to Astro Burger just down the road. We each got the croissant turkey, cheese and avocado sandwiches. Super good, fresh, loaded. They also have Greek food. We brought home spanakopita for later. Lots of choices here. Take time to look at the menu. They need to update their pictures. The photography and colors are so unappetizing. I would go back.

10/10 food, nice staff, and amazing atmosphere- felt like I was taken back 40 years
First time stopping here. Bought a cheeseburger and a no-salt patty for my dog for dinner, and brought it home. The dog wouldn’t eat the patty. I thought she didn’t feel good or something, because she loves a burger patty. I haven’t felt well since 5am when I woke up with stomach issues. It’s been rough. The drive through was rushed and not very friendly, as well. I had a bad vice from the moment I gave my order. I should have stopped then. I love old school burgers, and we were hungry. Thankfully, there are many more places around in LA
Pricey but very good
I sent my hubby to get me the three taquitos on the menu that they have only to be deeply disappointed and charged $17 for TWO TINY taquitos, small side of fries and a Diet Coke. This is absolutely an outrageous price for what we got. He even spoke to the manager to complain and ask for more food or a refund, and the manager refused to do so do not come here they completely ripped us off
