What an amazing dining experience! From the minute you walk in the door- the detail in the decor, the service , the food- beyond incredible! The artwork is stunning- even the bathroom is worth visiting for the beautiful wallpaper and decor. The setting is intimate and warm. You can feel the love from the servers and the love put into the food. The flavors are so unique and delicious. There is something for everyone- vegans and carnivores which we had some of each at our table. Each dish was as good as the next. I was hesitant about ordering the trout but it was the stand out dish for me. The delicate, moist white fish inside the crispy skin. I couldn't get enough! I never knew Ethiopian food had scrumptious desserts- to die for! The food is so delicate and healthy that you feel great afterwards despite probably overeating. Can't wait to go back!!

Literally amazing. Vibe, food, everything.I just wish they were open more days. :) Even the take out is amazing!! So happy to have this option in eagle rock. We get the vegan special and split it and add checkin when we are more hungry.

4.5/5.0 So so happy to have Ethiopian in the neighborhood. This was so delicious and service is excellent. Taste: I'm not a big Ethiopian connoisseur, but my meal went toe to toe with some of the famous ones I ate at when living near U street in DC. Very delicious. Experience: the waiter was super accommodating and attentive, gave plenty of injera when we ran out. Reduced a few tenths of a point because the dining room is a little more cramped than I'd want for a meal meant to share and it's not super stylish, but the food is really the star here. Mood Before/After: I was pretty neutral on both ends, but had a good meal Fullness: We had leftovers. Split the combo and tibs between two people. What else did I eat/do today affecting my experience: I don't remember what else I did that day, sorry. It was gray and gross out.

Food was so flavorful. Service was wonderful with an attentive and passionate staff. Ambiance was a darker, more romantic vibe. Loved it

Such a cute little restaurant with friendly, helpful staff! I know very little about Ethiopian cuisine but the staff was passionate about sharing not only their food, but their culture and traditions. It really made for a wholesome dining experience. 10/10 recommend the lamb- it was "off menu" when we went but they presented it as an option. So perfectly tender and aromatic. Vegan friends this place is for you as well! They have vegan options which are also full of flavor.

First of all, I would recommend reservations. I made them on Resy. This is such a cute, kinda romantic spot. Sometimes you want a dining experience and this was it. The staff is friendly, knowledge and attentive. Although I'm not vegan, I decided to try to vegan combo which was so damn hearty and flavorful. I'm a spicy food girly so, I would give the heat level about a 4 out of 10. There is a little beet puree in the middle of the plate to cool things off. Since I dined alone, I had tons of food left over. On my next visit, I think I'm going to try the crispy trout.

Some of the best Ethiopian food I have ever had!! I love Ethiopian food and have been going to Little Ethiopia on Fairfax for a long time. We haven't gone as much because it is quite a trek for us from Eagle Rock, so when I saw we were getting a local restaurant, I was thrilled. It is more amazing than I hoped and we will be frequent patrons!Dietary restrictions: Everything on the menu is gluten free, and most of the menu is vegan. There are meat dishes but they are clearly marked . Let your sever know if you have dietary requirements, they are all very friendly

The food? Best Ethiopian in LA. The ambiance/decor? Top shelf beautiful with jazzy-chill vibe. But to then also have the sexiest wait staff on the east side?! Aunt Yvette is NEXT LEVEL!!! She is bringing it to you from every angle!! 5 's!!!

The food was fabulous! Ethiopian food is a vegan-friendly cuisine and Aunt Yvette's does not disappoint in that regard. The place is small and my friend and I were lucky to be get a table, as we had no reservations. The food was prepared well, not too much oil or salt and was presented nicely. I will definitely return here, with reservations next time though.

An absolutely stunning experience! From the start when we arrived for our reservation and were told to be brought in when the table was ready. Very cute and appeasing interior - almost ready to meditate. Yvette herself and her staff all charming, knowledgeable and a pleasure to chat with. Okay that in itself was wonderful, but the food including the starter tea and the dessert ice cream were simply virtuoso!!! So glad to have Auntie Y in our neighborhood, definitely asks for coming back ...

Went in on a Saturday night with a reservation, as the restaurant only has 8 tables. The atmosphere is lovely inside, and we didn't have an issue finding parking in the little strip mall the place is nestled in. The service was amazing, the server made sure we knew the history and flavor of the plates we were interested in, and when we needed to go boxes, they packaged all our leftovers beautifully. The food itself was probably the best Ethiopian meal I've ever had, perfectly spicy and flavorful. We got the vegan platter, and two of the specials. If they have the ribeye tibs as a special again, don't hesitate to order it!We will definitely be back and are psyched to have such an amazing spot in eagle Rock :)

Excellent Ethiopian food. The trout and vegan platter were our favorites. Parking lot in front, with lots of street parking. Very small and intimate inside, but not crowded. Yvette came around to check in with everyone. She and her restaurant were lovely.

MAGIC THROUGH AND THROUGH. The food is amazing, the vibe is so cozy and warm and welcoming. Yvette is seriously, the BOMB, and while I know it's an impossible dream... I hope to someday just move into this space. The food is THAT GOOD.
