My absolute FAVE taco spot in all of LA. Their carne asada is SUPREME. Their al pastor is pretty good, but the carne asada is life-changing. I've tried the other meats, even the Buche and Saudero (I think that's the right word...?), so don't bother - just do al pastor and carne asada. The tacos are small so just order that extra carne asada. It's a cash-only place, and the Vons has ATMs if needed. The workers understand English, and they're all super friendly. The salsa station is always stocked. Be prepared to eat on the trunk of your car - it's totally part of the experience.

Its really good. The service is nice and the food is good. I like how simple it works and how easy it is to get food there. One of my fav is actually the potatos!!!

If they had better tortillas, I'd bump them up to a 4 or even 5 star rating.I appreciate that over the past few years taquerias in L.A. have started to trend towards making their own tortillas, right in front of you, sometimes even right when you order. I wish Ave 26 served tortillas as good as the new stands hand making them. I can understand the local community's devotion to this place, and once upon a time I am certain they were one of the best, if not the best, in town. Perhaps they don't want to screw with their formula because it's worked for so long. Much like King Taco and other older places, like El Taurino, these taquerías are stuck in time, for better or worse.I suppose there is some value in tasting nostalgia.

Honestly, I am a huge fan of Ave26! After many years of wanting to try and not having the chance, I was able to visit them! They sell tacos in one line and quesadillas through another! You also get to grab all the grilled onions you want from the side bar and they have tons of salsa that all taste amazing! The best is that they give you a potato with your tacos!

Always great to get tacos late at night. Ave 26 never disappoints. I only get el pastor. No place to sit down though so you gotta find your own spots.More spacious that the one in LA because not many people come here. This place is CASH only.

I love this place it's beautiful!Their red salsa is good & spicy, definitely a must to enhance the tacos.Really good street tacos. You are able to get tacos, burritos and quesadillas. They have lots of different types of meat and their prices are relative for other street tacos in the area. Food came out really quick!Fast service !

Cash onlyI was craving tacos so we decided to stop by Avenue 26 Tacos. They have this food stand in Eagle Rock along with another location in Skid Row. There were no tables or seating so we ended up eating inside the car.We ordered asada and al pastor tacos ($2 each) and between the two I liked the al pastor more. I liked that you can put as much or as little onion and cilantro as you want. There were three types on sauces and they were all good with varying levels of spice. You can also put grilled onions on the tacos too which added even more flavors. It's not super sanitary since they use their bare hands to scoop the meat onto the tortillas. There were good portions of meat so I was in a good place after eating five tacos. This is a no-frills place that serves pretty good tacos.

Tacos were tasty, and I wasn't expecting to see Ave 26 so close to where I was going to shop! I ordered the Asada and Al Pastor - both were great! Some reviews mentioned that they accept card, but they said cash only when I visited in September!Thankfully, the price is still consistent at $2 each. The portions are on the smaller side, but as a snack? Delicious!

Ave 26 tacos is my jam when I am working in arts district. Always delicious, quick, and easy. They recently started accepting cards for payment which is cool. Wish they had some convenient seating because sometimes you just feel like sitting down to eat your tacos. Yanno? I just wish the sauce containers had some sort of a lid on it bc I once saw a huge beetle sitting in the lime. Overall always a delicious experience.

Al pastor 5/5 - pretty good tacos! I wish they had pineapple but still really good! Meat was juicy and I love how you can get your own portion of onions and cilantro bc I like a lot of it. Not very sanitary thoWhen did street tacos become so expensive. A full taco meal costs the same as a regular meal at a restaurant now.

Fantastic street tacos for $2Plenty of parking at the Vons but you'll be eating while standing up or in your car.
