Super tasty food. My wife has family in Ecuador. The food brought me back to sitting in her grandma's kitchen.

came here to grab a quick lunch on a saturday, the person working told me that they could not make me anything fried and they didn't have enough chicken to make me three chicken tacos. i left.
The beef plate made me homesick. Perfect texture and taste with a great portion.

Found out about this gem a month ago and finally paid a visit. As a proud Ecuadorian who is familiar with this cuisine, I can tell you this place is legit! The owner, Katerina, was very sweet. The menu has Ecuadorian staples, from appetizers, main course to dessert! I can’t wait to try the encebollado that is only served on the weekends!

My wife is from Ecuador, took her to enjoy some food from Ecuador, since we don't have too many restaurants in LA, service was awesome 👍, food really good flavors from Ecuador, liked it, would go back to try something else in the menu 👍👍👍

Staff was super kind, my table was cleaned before I sat down, I ordered a platillo de pollo con salsa, rice and plantain and it was very good. The empanada was also great, NOT dry, had a good amount of meat and it was seasoned well too. I also had a agua de Maracuyá and it tasted good, it was not super sweet like many other places. The sweetness was just right 👌oh and they have a parking lot definitely gonna come back again to support my neighborhood

I had such a delicious, comforting home-cooked meal at Ave Maria paired with genuinely warm hospitality.
The Seco de Pollo was flavorful and reminded me of a dish my late grandma used to cook. It was a great intro dish and I’m super excited to explore the other menu items!

A true hidden gem, literally. I was biking from South Pasadena to DTLA and only noticed it was a restaurant because I had to stop and tie my shoe. Best accidental stop ever. The flavors are bold, balanced, and incredibly fresh, everything tasted thoughtfully prepared and full of depth. You can tell real care goes into the food, from the seasoning to the textures. One of those spots you stumble into once and immediately want to come back to.
